"Don’t be fooled by the title on Spa, it could be fantastic as location is great. It’s tired and grubby, outside not maintained with paint on windows flaking and doors don’t shut. Also my shower had no running water. 20 mins to put 4 inches of water in a bath because of the 50 holes in shower head only 6 had water coming out. Also charge extra for use of facilities. Typical of an OYO hotel. Never again"

"Nice bar and restaurant. Staff very helpful"

"The hotel is very pretty and picturesque. Housekeeping and the rest of the staff were very friendly and polite. Reception was the exception. Nothing major, but when we arrived, staff weren't sure about simple things like parking or whether we could use the business centre, and kept having to check with each other. A smile and a warm, friendly greeting would also go a long way. It's the first impression guests get, so it's a shame it didn't match the rest of the stay. The air-con in my room...

"Staff were very helpful and the breakfast was great - the place is is in a very tranquil setting. Hard not to like!"

"Large recently upgraded hotel great facilities. Clean. Car parking a problem no doubt because many event rooms all packed on saturday night. Bath ouldnt be emptied as drain lifter broken , reported. Really good breakfast. Lovley large room."

"Gave me a very early check in without even asking! Very friendly staff and comfortable room!"

"It’s a perfectly adequate place to sleep if you need a bed but no frills. It feels a bit jaded and the room needed a deep clean but you get what you pay for and it doesn’t cost much."

"The breakfast was very poor given the massive charge made for it. The buffet was not kept fresh or fully stocked - things were simply missing when I went through and maybe I could have gone back but there was a big queue. The location of the NEC is great, but you have to park your car a long way away and that is a major disadvantage to the hotel."

"went with a king size room , but the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve slept in for a long time ! Very hard & lumpy"

"Heating turns off all the time to safe energy which mean you wake up really cold"

"The room we had was ok mattress was really hard the bathroom needed modernising"
