"Room comfortable , very good value my only pronlem was the steep stairs to my room and for some weird reason other guests found it a great place to stand outside my door late at night and shout at each other. My room was lacking a remote control for the tv, however was on holuday so not really needing tv, bathroom was massive and shower was nice with hot water although not very powerfull. Bed was confortable but backed onto the ventilation for the building so could be a bit noisy when on....

"A lot of time and trouble has clearly been invested in this hotel & there is much to applaud. The design and layout of the public spaces are excellent, with an elegant, homely feel, and there are one or two surprising areas to discover, such as the wine room. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, from the two receptionists to those in the restaurant. The quality of the food was exceptional.
