"Room not what we were expecting as it wasn’t a cabin but a very damp smelling old and worn lodge in a row of other lodges which were all connected together. However after paying an upgrade on our booking we were allocated a large cabin near the lake"

"We booked this room based on the pictures from the expedia web page. When we checked in we were told that the bottom door lock didn't work and to use the top yale lock. Overall the hotel was extremely grubby with bits of plastic and battered trolleys abandoned in corridors , biro writing on room doors. The reason our bottom door lock was not working was because it had no mechanism in it at all and was empty.The room itself was awful with liquid stain drip marks on the walls , a huge crack on...

"Great hotel in an excellent position. Dog friendly too. Helpful staff. Although there didn't seem to be enough of them, as service was slow at times. Food was good, breakfast and evening meals plenty of choice. Room was very good, 302 with huge balcony with hot tub. Although room can get extremely hot. Bed was huge and very comfortable. Two great settees near the very large tv."

"Large corporate hotel. Decor is a bit old fashioned and dated, but very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Couldn’t fault it. Reception closes at 10pm so contact them if you are arriving late. Large car park."

"I was happy with the politeness and great customer service from the bar man who checked me in he was really friendly and helpful. This creates a great first impression. I have stayed before and it’s nice and central and the free breakfast they leave for you is a lovely gesture. I will come back."
