"The only disappointing aspect of this booking was Expedia. We booked the room at the tariff quoted on Expedias site only to learn later when checking our bank statement they charged $12.00 more than the advertised price. Not Good"

"The owners were fantastic people. Very thoughtful of our comfort & moved us due to an issue with the apartment booked. Great spot, super clean & would definitely return. Very kind when our grandson had a minor bump - it’s amazing what a paua shell will do to fix the issue… thanks heaps "

"Loved the sea views from the unit. Could hear the waves gentle lapping sounds from inside the unit. Sunny north facing unit. Bathroom had powerful shower. Newly refurbished, comfortable beds...great nights sleep. Absolutely spotless. "

"Te Mahuru Tetreat is a jewel in Kaikoura’s crown. A perfect location, easy to get to and not far out of Kaikōura itself. The accommodation provides a high standard of facilities and is immaculate. It provided everything we need for our stay and the use of the hot tub and do some star gazing is phenomenal - a must if you are staying at Te Mahuru Retreat. "Friendly team and great facilities. We look forward to coming back when the weather is warmer and the cafe and pool are open. Well equipped kitchen facilities providing 180⁰ views of the mountains whilst cooking. Great location being centrally located on the main road a 5 minute walk from the town centre. "
