"The room was clean & had everything one would expect/require. No issues there. The shower was a little lacklustre. The bed, unfortunately, was very uncomfortable. Both myself and my husband woke more than once through the night in discomfort due to the extremely hard mattress. This may of course be personal preference but its not an issue we tend to encounter during stays in other hotels."

"Excellent staff, restaurant good, bar very pleasant. Room was a bit dated and carpets needed a big clean."

"I had booked our Oct room in the summer. I had booked a room with 2 beds, but when we checked in and went to the room it looked like they just threw a room together (small room with queen bed and a sofa couch shoved in). It didnt leave a lot of room. When you book a specific room and pay the listed price for said room you should not feel like a last minute, we have to put you somewhere guest."

"Very friendly staff"

"Great staff, nice food menu. Room comfy and large for a group of 4. They even do airport transfers but we didn’t need to use this. Would definitely stay again"

"No air-conditioning. (Just in case you need it.) A fan was supplied in the room and like the room could do with a good clean. Dresser glass top you could see the dust laying on top. Chair provided also had food remains, hair and dust from previous guests. Bed matress should have been retired many ,many guests ago. Springs digging in and undulating as lay. Bathroom was comparatively clean but also like the rest of the room very tired in appearance. Car park can be a little cramped, and can make...

Reception staff on arrival grumpy as hell! Reception staff when leaving very nice and helpful shame they wasn't working when we arrived! Overall wished we had just booked a Premier inn that worked out cheaper with decent beds aircon and all that...

"The hotel is undergoing a renovation at the moment, but the rooms and general areas are clean and quiet, the staff in the bar - restaurant are most accommodating, the food is cooked to order but the wait is well worth it the food produced is excellent. Defiantly recommend the food."

"Fabulous manor with great character and lovely grounds. Pond with fountain. Close to Hatfield Forest Park. Great trails to walk."
