"Great location near the lake, beautiful terrace, bedrooms have carpet and are a bit old and could use a refresh. Overall good experience if you’re looking for an authentic stay."

"For a 3 star hotel this ticks all the boxes great value excellent breakfast and a lovely set dinner menu that changes daily. Lovely friendly but professional staff and quiet location but still less than a 5 minute walk to town. You do need to book for dinner as this is a very popular restaurant. If I could find one fault it would be on a personal opinion only and that is that dinner service is to quick between courses but that’s because I like each course to go down before the next is served....

"Rooms were nice and clean but we had an annoying noise coming from an air vent inside a wardrobe that drove us wild, made them aware and they attempted a bodge to cover it up but it still persisted and spoiled our sleep. The only other complaint is when we were dining a family with young children had been eating beside us and the kids had food on the floor, due to the hot weather there were a lot of flies about and they were congrigating around the food on the floor. "The property is in a great location , clean tidy , great price ! The staff was very helpful so it done everything we needed , I never tried the food but from what I seen it looked good , we would use the hotel again no problem."

"We had a lovely spacious room and bathroom that were comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was powerful, however, there was a gap between the screen and the bath so the bathroom got soaked every time we used it. The room doors need a soft close mechanism fitted to stop people from constantly slamming doors. The breakfast was not too bad but could do with some more cold options. The breakfast tables are very sticky! Overall we had a lovely stay."

"A grand hotel in the countryside, it's a shame the state it's in now. The carpet is worn out in place's, the game's room is a complete mess and the hotel smells damp & musty. The dining room is grand and well maintained, the food is pretty good. The staff are friendly and helpful."
