"Room had not been well cleaned (dust everywhere, hair found in various places, etc). The room itself and furnishings were in major need of refreshing, with a missing handle on the dresser, a dirty shower curtain, etc. It was way below what we expected to get for the price we paid."

"The room was beautiful, but a lot of the furniture had some pretty gross stains on them. One of the lampshades was ripped and it was clear on one of the walls that coffee had been spelt all over it, but never cleaned up. The hallways were clean, but very loud. When children would run up and down or cry and echoed into my room that was really disappointing. I would’ve given it as a higher rating if those things weren’t in place I’ve stayed at many La Quinta hotels and have not been disappointed...

"Room was nice but very cold. Thermostat was locked so you couldn’t adjust. Room was also very dark. Room 135. Only three small lamps to light it on a rainy day."

"Cute place. Nice view. Clean rooms. Quiet. Staff was wonderful. Loved Peggy at the front desk. Perfect place to stay. Having multiple restaurants attached to the hotel was a nice convenience. Oldest running hotel in the state of Minnesota. Has that charm. Not a chain. Even heard some cool ghost stories about the place. Do have to admit, we did hear some doors rattling at night. No explanation. lol. That was great. We want to go back, too. Thank you all for a great stay."

"Everything was fine at this hotel. Clean, good breakfast, nice bed...."

"The room was clean and quiet, mostly adults and no screaming kids. No homeless wandering or sleeping in their cars in the parking lot unlike other hotels near the interstate. The pool and hot tub were a nice ending to a couple long work days. The maintenance is kept up, no holes in drywall or chipped paint. The carpet felt clean on barefeet. The breakfast is typical for the price. The price doubled for weekend stays."
