"Everything was clean and smelled nice. My one and only complaint was the absolutely horribly uncomfortable bed. We stayed in room 204 and without exaggeration, it was the absolute most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. After the first night, I woke up with a stiff back. After the second night, I woke up in so much pain. I could barely walk. If the bed was comfortable, my review would be very different."

"Very cozy . Parking right in front of property.Just perfect for two adults. Very close to Blackwater Fall State Park."

"Gööd vaıue"

"The property was very clean, and the kitchen well stocked with everything we needed! The decor was dated (80s), the towels were pretty worn, the outside property could use some TLC (to make it more inviting), and the twin beds were uncomfortable. But to me, the cleanliness was the most important! Thanks!"

"The whole house was clean and nice, they had all the basic supplies ready and the internet was very good and those grills were just so great… overall the house is a 10/10"

"I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the room was very spacious and comfortable. It was super convenient being able to park right in front of the unit, and the bar was a few steps away. Food at the ISH kitchen was delicious. My only complaint was that the service was pretty slow. Even though I was sat at the bar, it took a while for anyone to acknowledge me and then to take my order. This has also happened in the past. I feel like they pay more attention to locals than to visitors."

"I would highly recommend it"

"no air conditioning, no shower. no toilet paper, no cabinet near sink to place tolietries, bath is shared with 4 other rooms, no wifi or phone service on the 12 mile treacherous access road, not one light at house if you arrive after dark, no one to show you where to get room key or where room is located . If you want to experience WV try Hawks Nest Lodge in Anstead WV by the new river gorge national park...a MUCH better experience for a lot less money"

"Nice place to stay in Canaan Valley"

"We had a great stay. Just as advertised. It was a little chilly and we enjoyed the fireplace and the ample wood supply. The house was also supplied with all the necessities. The back deck was great. "

"Location was perfect room and beds were very clean beds were very comfortable easy access information with host. Wish there would have been hand soap in the bathroom and some complimentary waters & coffee packets everything else was perfect. We will definitely stay here again. Thank You for everything 🥰"

"Cabin was very cold upon arrival. Bath tub possibly had black mold on paneling. Beds were uncomfortable. Only two small logs left next to fireplace. No wood outside like was in pics. We were made to purchase a damage insurance policy for 59 which is ridiculous. Couldn’t wait to leave. "

"Great location in the Valley."
