"Great location for travel. Property undergoing renovations, so some amenities were unavailable and construction stuff around. Nice and helpful staff."

"Room smelled like smoke, pillows same smoke smell. Doors didn’t close securely. Trash and debris left in the stairwells. Damaged HVAC units. Breakfast was extremely limited, no juice, warm milk, and the waffle batter was watered down. Pictures showed a pool, but it was out of service. Definitely not worth $120, maybe worth $60 per night."

"The Surry in is a nice place to stay overnight on our trips from PA to Florida. Everything is older but clean and everything worked."

"We didn’t get the room we booked. The one we got (when we arrived) was much smaller and not nearly as nice. With a lot of effort (there’s no one on site, everything is handled through an “agent” - who sounds like they’re outside the U.S. - which then notifies the actual Three Trails Company to get in touch with you - it’s a long, tedious way to handle any issue which may arise). We were able to finally get an upgrade, but it still wasn’t as nice as the room we originally booked."

"Our hosts were so kind and hospitable! We loved the quaint, cozy and clean cottage. The location was perfect with easy access to hiking and other local attractions. We definitely plan to go back to do more hiking and exploring!"

"I have stayed in a lot of different homes and can't always give a 5 star rating but this homes deserves more than 5 stars. The house is beautiful, very clean, comfortable, and Betty would check to see if we needed anything. We sat out on the carport watching the rain and storm and it was BEAUTIFUL. I would absolutely recommend this home to my family and friends. I will be going back down to Mount Airy and will plan my trip to stay here again."

"We ejoyed the retro feeling of this place, the old stove, old refrigerator which was still cold! Decor was very well thought out. Kudos!. My wife has trouble with steps, but took her time and did well. The bed was extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend for a long weekend."
