"The room we received was not what we saw in the pictures - it had several large pillars in the room - one in front of the toilet door. The sofa bed was not able to be opened until we moved several pieces of furniture out of the way. The softer pillows we asked for were never delivered and the beds were not made on the second day of our stay. All was not as advertised and there was no staff in the building to deal with issues. A real disappointment!"

"Excellent location, walked to everything including the theatres and restaurants. Vintage style building, excellent staff, room was well appointed and very clean. Had a soaker tub, if older it could be hard to get into, but my daughter loved it. Restaurant onsite and a nice little outdoor patio. Free parking. Overall a great property."

"The location is prime, practically next door to the Avon Theater. Our room was large with a beautiful updated bathroom… a good elevator which is nice for an older Victorian building and not always the case. The restaurant is quaint and had a nice choice for their breakfast/brunch menu and it was well prepared. I would recommend this place."

"I was a little nervous about the “no check-in desk” (only emailed codes for the main entry and room doors) but it all worked out fine. The room was decorated interestingly. The scent of the soap/Shampoo was not for us, but the staff came minutes after we emailed them to remove it. Coffee shop is great. Location can’t be beat. Owner sat out on the porch one day chatting with guests. Friendly guy!"

"The first room they had brought me to hadn't been cleaned in days at least with dust and dirt on all the surfaces and what looked like dried mud or something on the bathroom sink and bathroom tub. The second room was better but clearly still didn't get duste, and there was a dead fly on the bed with what looked like dog hair surrounding it. The door lock was broken and had to be locked from the inside before closing the door and still took multiple tries to get it to lock properly."

"We enjoyed our 1 night stay on the 2nd floor at the Mercer Hotel. The staff was very courteous and helpful, the room was very clean and the king bed was very comfortable. We heard the occasional noise from the room above us and the muted hum of the air conditioning units on the roof but it wasn't a problem for us. The location was very convenient for walking to all the theatres and for shopping. And the Mercer restaurant food is great!"

"Friendly and professional staff. Nicely maintained grounds - grass cut, floral arrangements. Clean room, welcome note. Security measures in effect. This motel is an excellent choice in the quaint town of Palmerston in the heart of farm/mennonite Ontario. Close to restaurants and relatively close to other tourist towns of interest including Arthur and St. Jacobs. We recommend"

"Staff was friendly during check-in and check-out, very quick, too. The room was large and clean. Beds were queen sized. There was a microwave and a refrigerator. Air conditioning worked well. Bathroom was updated. Shampoo and soap, and hair dryer were provided. Location was excellent, on the road out of town, and 5 minutes from downtown. The one improvement I would like to see is a coffee maker in the room."

"This is the only hotel nearby, so there aren’t really many options to begin with. That being said, my overall experience was good (except for some noisy people in the room upstairs, which I reported to reception, but it wasn’t really addressed); it’s close to the town and in a quiet area, and unless you have noisy neighbors, you should have a pretty decent night’s sleep. The room is not too big, but there’s still a pretty decent amount of space for you to move around. The place looks kind of...

"What a nice "find" among Stratford's hold house inns and b&bs. We stayed in the luxury suite which was spacious, clean, comfortable and amazingly quiet even though it faces one of Stratford's main thoroughfares (great soundproofing). Plus the most quiet, comfortable air system we've ever encountered. Free parking, within walking distance to downtown's restaurants and shops (try Fellini's for Italian, Features for breakfast or lunch). Breakfast at Ambassador's Inn is a real treat and host Andrew...
