"Beautiful setting, fun amenities like kayaks and a bench swing. Room was well appointed with everything you would need, even a 2 burner cooktop. Bed was comfortable. Would definitely recommend."

"Marriott bought this a few months ago, but it has not been renovated yet. The photos were somewhat deceiving. Our stay was fine, but we expecting much more. Breakfast was good, but limited in offerings due to small breakfast area. We stayed four nights and if we wanted housekeeping, we had to ask for it. The view however was quite nice, as all rooms face the Umpqua River."

"This was our 2nd stay at the Rice Inn. This room was better as we had a broken chair last visit, there was a stain on the bath (looked like a cigarette burn). The bed was in better condition and comfy. We liked that the rooms have a fridge and microwave. Since this was our 2nd stay, we came prepared with some food items to heat up and eat. Restaurants are very limited unless you drive 20min to Sutherlin or Oakland. The best stop going North is Roseberg. Parking was easy and staff were...

"We needed to change to an Ada room, the staff was great taking care of this for my 91 year old mother. When we moved rooms we left behind a curling iron and it was found and returned to us. I have to say the bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked and the rooms could certainly use some TLC and updating, as well as the TV 's."

"The pillow covers looked like they weren't changed,there was hair on the pillow,on the towel in the bathroom and ice tray was very dirty.The back of the toilet was also dirty. TV didn't work. Other than that it was OK"

"Cleaned room was not cleaned very old hotel needs some updating. Only thing was nice in the room with the TV and that didn’t even work. And the staff sucked in checking in. Takes your 20 minutes. Check-in takes 15 minutes to check out cause no one comes to the damn desk, you have to ring a bell and they ignore you."

"A complete GEM! We stayed in a cabin and it was cute and private and everything we needed. The kitchenette was just a stove top and mini fridge but perfect for a quick lunch pack before we went out on the trails. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and helped us pick wonderful hikes and day trips. We ate dinner one night and it was better than a 5 star restaurant in town.
