"The breakfast was fresh and good. Lovely fresh fruit salad. Lunch in the bar is very good. Lots of free and easy parking directly outside the hotel. The decor inside is so rich, where do you look first, beautiful and tasteful. Our room had a four poster bed which we were not expecting, real treat, the room had a panoramic view of the coast line. We just had a wonderful time."

"The guy on reception was amazing he arrived us early at no extra cost. We didn't have a kettle or hairdryer in our room he got them right away.The hotel restaurant currently only serves breakfast but had a good choice at a reasonable price. Unfortunately we had many electrical problems with our room where the power kept cutting out which was quite inconvenient at times. "Room amazing full of character of the prison"

"We were apprehensive after reading previous reviews, however we were positively surprised. Our family room was large and spacious and the beds very comfortable. The deco is dated but everything was clean, the staff lovely and what a view!! If you want luxury, 5* accommodation, this isn't for you. If you want a comfortable, friendly hotel to stay in while having easy access to the town centre of St Ives, this is it."
