"The hotel was very nice overall. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was very dated and dim but clean. The location was the best amenity. Our room was described as a two queen balcony river view, which saying it had a balcony was a stretch. The balcony was so tiny and had loose wood. It felt unsafe with even one person on it, and there was no room for more than one or even a chair. There are were inexplicably soft boards right inside the balcony door, which you had to pass to get to the bathroom....

"We had a great stay at the historic DeSoto Hotel. The hotel has plenty of character and was clean and comfortable, with excellent facilities and really friendly, helpful staff who made us feel welcome. The location was good for exploring the area, and overall we felt it offered good value for money other than the valet parking which was $53 per night plus taxes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it to others looking for a comfortable stay with a bit of history and...

"The location of hotel is excellent but would not stay again. The lobby was nice although both mornings the coffee was gone. The 2 free drinks a night was nice and bar tender was friendly. The room was disappointing. It smelled musty, we were unable to adjust air. The pullout had no sheets and mattress was stained. The sheets were stiff. The living space was dark. Two lamps did not work."

"Liked the location. The first room we were in was right next to the elevators - it was a bit noisy a vibrated the walls and floor. The Front Desk graciously was able to change us to a different room."

"Great location and the parking structure is right across from the hotel. The rooms were kind of old and had a musty smell though."

"Great staff"

"No sign for ice ? On 5th floor ? No signs anywhere"

"This hotel is situated in a great part of the city. It is beside a parking deck (We parked here since the hotel parking, valet only, was so expensive) and the deck is beside The Pink House. Walking a very short distance in the other direction takes you to the River Walk. The included breakfast is one of the best we've had. There was a great variety every morning. Top notch! The only thing we didn't like was arriving for our 4:00 check-in time, but waiting until 4:45 to be able to actually get...

"Staff was so friendly and accommodating."

"Hotel's location is very efficent for people who likes to walk and explore beautiful Savannah. Old trolley location, very conviniently, just accross the street."

"This hotel was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The room was spacious and the sitting area was comfortable as well. The location was perfect for us, lots of restaurants around. Did not use the valet parking on site, parked in the public parking garage behind the hotel. It was $12 for overnight parking and was a short walk to the hotel."

"Clean room and beds"

"$300 bucks a night and room service every other night, really? When they did come no coffee replenishment or bath/shower gel replenishment. Terrible value for $$"

"The hotel is right on the river front which was nice as there were plenty of good restaurants and shops within walking distance. The room was clean and well appointed and the pillows weren't flat! Another plus, free Klondike bars in the kitchens freezer. Nice touch."
