"A gem amongst the trees! Terrific stay for a long weekend! It is what you make of it — relaxing in your room or on the numerous patio spaces, or in the library, or in the lobby! Swimming and kayaking! We took a guided ride on the brand new pontoon boat (with a bartender and restroom on board) and that was one of my favorite parts. "This was a cute cabin right on the river! Beautiful, clean,peaceful! Very pretty! We went to Rail Explorers to ride bikes on the train tracks and went to New River Gorge so this place was great for all! Host was very responsive and nice!"

"Worked for our quick half stop trip down south for 8 howeverthe place was not clean and one of the rooms had mold and stains on the ceiling. Unusable and disgusting room. Dust was still all over the dressers and fridge was something I wouldn't put any food. Found a cleaning rag in the bed and the floor in the master bedroom was warping with water damage. There was also a musty smell in the entire place. In the end you get what you pay for."

"Sutton was an old coal and lumber town. Now is abandoned. the owner of this place is trying to to save some of the grandeur it once enjoyed .The hotel has 2 buildings and the decor in both of them is amazing It is a really relaxing place. The hostess is a coal miners daughter that keeps the West Virginia charm. The innkeeper is from Colombia. He serves a strong colombian coffee and delicious arepas. What a combination ,never expect it .Help this people save part of history"

"This home was a blessing to us as we visited family in the area. The interior was spotless, but the porches could have used some attention. Pay attention to the host instructions accessing the drive from the highway. My son tried to make the hairpin turn and found he had to backup on the highway to do it. Not a good spot to be in. It was also difficult exiting the drive as your vision of traffic is limited due to the steepness of the driveway. Breakfast is always important to our family. All 8...
