"Ac in room didn’t work well, had to set it at 66 degrees to get it to work! Couldn’t turn TV on and had to get help to fix issue, phone didn’t work, no soap in shower (only shampoo & conditioner), tissue box only had 2-3 tissues in it, toilet seat is loose and doesn’t fit well (wrong size), no water to drink in breakfast area & OJ tasted sour, no signs at the corner telling you where to turn at the traffic light to get to hotel which caused us to get on I-40 and had to drive an extra 18 miles...

"The place was a total mess. They claimed I made my reservation too far in advance, 3 months, and paid for but still managed to lose my reservation. When they finally were going to give me a room, the one they gave was dirty and unmade up. The next room was already occupied. The next had a toilet in the middle of the room. That was it for me and went to find another hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE."

"Do not book it. 1. The bed sheets have hairs left everywhere. 2. The room has order. 3. There is no breakfast, even though they post “free breakfast” in the ads online. 4. The front desk doesn’t care about your experience. Once again, DO NOT book it."

"I stayed at this place, it was an alright experience if you just need a roof over your head for the night. The room was clean. The air conditioner was very loud. "Breakfast included" means you have a coffee maker in your room and they probably have some grain bars. So if you count on real breakfast, you better head somewhere."

"Such a friendly staff and the rooms are very nice and clean. The wi-fi is also good enough I have no problems working from my room. I stay here frequently and have never had a complaint. A perfect place to stay on Historic Route 66."

"When I went to the room, the key couldn’t open the door. When the staff came she couldn’t open the door. So she moved us to another room. When we got there the door did opened but the room wasn’t clean. So the staff told another guest to move out of his room for us. That was the last straw we asked for a refund."

"We chose this hotel based on reviews but they clearly were not authentic. The place is in desperate need of maintenance. There were only 3 guests in the whole place (including us) and yet the front desk gal would not or could not figure out how to give us a bottom floor room with two beds. We used a third party app because it had a room with “a king bed and two twins” as an option. When we arrived, we were told they don’t have any rooms like that and we had to take the king bed on the 2nd floor....

"Had a wonderful stay. The house is rustic and homey and on a beautiful piece of property. Perfect getaway for some peace and quiet. Hope to visit again soon. "

"There is no Lone Star. The place burned down about 4 years ago and hotels.com is still making reservations! I better not get charged for it."
