"Check-in was smooth, and thoughtful! We had reserved a king room that apparently was on the 3rd floor, but the desk clerk noted our large suitcase and carry-ons and offered us an upgrade to a suite on the first floor since there are no elevators. Kudos to the gentleman and thank you!"

The staff was very friendly and polite and were fluent in English so there was not a language barrier. The food in the restaurant was delicious. I recommend staying here. I will visit again"

"Jorge and family are very gracious hosts. I booked this place partly because I wanted to support family run business. As expected: the lodges are rather rustic: good plumbing - meaning toilet flushed fine, and shower runs, albeit I couldn't figure out how to get hot water out. The knowledge that Jorge and Herman transferred to me made the stay enjoyable: on toucons, on fungi, on bees."
