"Eduardo and Betty were FABULOUS! They could not have been nicer, more courteous hosts! The house was perfection and the home cooked meals were INCREDIBLE!The property itself is BREATHTAKING and very secure. It is behind a heavy electric gate, so we felt very safe!Eduardo communicates very efficiently and was so helpful in navigating our excursions… I hope some day to be able to have the privilege of staying at Gósen again and would give it 10 stars!! The house sits further back from the road than most houses in Costa Rica, but there is still a lot of road noise for someone coming from the United States. "The owner greeted us with a beautifully set table with a fresh loaf of bread, butter and an assortment of tees and fresh coffee. They assisted us with information to local stores and restaurants. The house looks just as shown on their site. It is located in the highlands approx 40 min drive from the airport, in a quiet neighbourhood. "Lovely casita on unique, secure, private, beautiful grounds in the mountains north of San Jose. Eduardo and Betty made our first visit to Costa Rica amazingly special! They have become wonderful friends and I’m certain that we’ll stay in touch. "

"The house was well maintained and comfortable (we didn't spend a lot of time there, but the kitchen was well appointed, beds were comfortable) and the location was perfect for hiking Volcan Barva and starting our CR trip. The only issue we had was with the management company, Vacasa, who didn't communicate our arrival to the house manager, but otherwise it was perfect."

"Rented Delux room with A/C. Bed mattress was almost rock hard and made sleeping uncomfortable, Shower control handles were difficult to operate and water pressure and hot water changed constantly during shower time. "Beautiful property, clean and comfortable rooms and such an accommodating staff. The views of the city from the villas are stunning and while a touch further out than a traditional airport hotel, this one has so much character, it’s so worth it. Highly recommend! "
