"The apartment is spacious, very clean, and comfortable. It features beautiful views of Elkader. The location is in easy walking distance to the shops, restaurants, and riverfront trail. I hope to stay again. "

"From the moment we got there to the minute we left we had a wonderful experience! The location is lovely. The host was so kind. The little red barn is so, so cute! It had everything we needed and wanted! The addition of the hot tub and details to make the experience wonderful! We will definitely be back!"

"The converted jail was such an interesting and unique place to stay. The property is beautiful, the house and room were clean and inviting, and the cell block was a great place to hang out and explore. We loved morning coffee on the balcony and the fabulous whirlpool tub for relaxing. Make sure to check out the incredible food at the local Algerian restaurant, and a lovely river walk, or explore the four story antique mall in town!"

"It was a clean apartment, I did not know I was walking up 3 flights of steps I have a bad knee wished that was info I knew ahead of time also I was given 2 keys one for outside door and one for inside apartment door no key rings I was afraid i was going to lose the keys, If I had a spare key ring I would have used to assure keys were not misplaced."

"Smell was bad. Room was in disrepair. No shampoo although listed as having. Mold on bathroom ceiling. Microwave dirty on inside."

"The cabon was great, we really got the quiet and peacefull time we were hoping. Fairly short drive to nice state parks in the area."
