The reason for my lower rating is the front stairs are dangerous, I worried about my older mom using them, and while everyone else had a great bed, ours was like a box, it was terrible. Also we stayed upstairs and with the slanted ceilings the room was small.andbi banged my head several times."

"We absolutely loved our stay at The Orchard House Inn! It was lovely and full of charm and character. Just what one would expect from Freeport, Maine! Our room was very comfortable, charming, and welcoming. The shower was a bit small but adequate. We stayed in the "Downstairs King Bedroom" (we called it the Book Room) and the bed was so comfortable! It was our best night's sleep on the entire trip! The healthy complimentary breakfast was very good, which we enjoyed at one of the picnic...

"Good location with a pool. If you book riverside, know that it’s a different location than the pool. Staff were ok. Both ice machines were down, with no solution, in the middle of summer. Overall-pool was nice, buildings were up to date, but the service wasn’t impressive."

"DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL!! We “supposedly” had reservations to this place and when we got there they aren’t even open!! 8:30pm with 3 children in the car. New renovations taking place. New beds in the hallways looking through the door trying to find someone they don’t even have a front desk because it’s being remodeled. I’m ok with the remodel but what I will not tolerate is being scammed by the hotel for saying they have rooms and selling through Expedia when clearing they don’t have rooms...

"An absolutely beautiful property and staff were incredibly kind and helpful! We had a late arrival and the two young gentlemen were waiting at the dock and they helped my sister and I with all our bags. The entire property was very clean and there were incredible views of the water and golf course. Looking forward to returning!"
