The Baker Chalet - 3 Spacious Levels, AC, EV, Hot Tub, Pool Table, Mountain View

The Baker Chalet is a spacious three level mountain retreat. Family-oriented with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 fully-equipped kitchens and floor-to-ceiling great room windows with a mountain view. After skiing Mt. Baker, hiking or biking outdoors, sprawl out on our supersized sectional, plug into the Starlink WIFI, watch TV or shoot pool. Soak in our 7 seat jetted hot tub and relax. Linens and towels are all provided, including Pharmacopia bodycare toiletries to pamper you during your stay.

Our chalet is comfortable, spacious, and very well laid out. 3 floors of space, 4 bedrooms and a queen sized murphy wall bed downstairs. Our mattresses are Saatva organic cotton luxury-firm and our bedding is 100% cotton. The view of Church Mountain is fantastic. Whether you are soaking in our Dimension One 7 seater hot tub, on the patio, or in the living room, its hard to take your eyes off of the view. The setting is peaceful, serene and calming.

We’re in Glacier, Washington in a private gated community club called Snowline. It's the closest development to the Mt. Baker ski area.
There are neighbors near by, but not too close. Additionally, outdoor recreational activities such as hiking and biking abound nearby.
As of October 1st, 2022, vacation rental guests are no longer allowed to use the swimming pool, clubhouse, and tennis courts of the Snowline community.

There is little to no cell reception on Mount Baker. It's a good idea to map out your directions ahead of time. When you arrive at the Baker Chalet you can use wifi calling. We recently installed Starlink high speed WiFi.
For peace of mind, our chalet is equipped with a home backup generator that will automatically power the entire premises (EXCEPT the hot tub and downstairs range) in the event of a power outage.
Please note that sometimes, if another guest checks out on the same day that you arrive, we decide to drain the hot tub fully, in order to thoroughly clean it. In that case, it won't be fully heated up on the evening that you arrive.
Booking guest must be 25 years or older and be present every night of the booking. People outside of the group for which you booked the Baker Chalet are not allowed on the premises.
We recently installed a 220V NEMA 14-50 electric car charger outlet.
We do not allow elope-weddings, wedding preparations, nor bachelor parties in our house.
Quiet hours in the community are 11pm-7am but we ask that you wind down noise after 10pm.

Great rental

Bueariful location and Starlink provides great interent access compared with other rentals in the area. The house is spacious with good amenities. Kitchen well stocked with cookware and great communication from the host.

The Baker Chalet was an excellent place to stay in Glacier. Everything about it was great: cleanliness, communication and kindness from management, useful documentation and directions, luxurious appurtenances for a very reasonable price…would definitely recommend it and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Family Gathering

Enjoyed our time at Baker Chalet. Spent most of our time in the area exploring in nature - but we enjoyed our nights with family at the Chalet. Beds were nice - kitchen well stocked although we didn’t do much more than breakfast. The pizza from the tavern close by was a popular choice for the family.

Loved our stay- so absolutely beautiful!! Peaceful, quiet, clean, comfortable- just exactly what we needed. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need! Great chalet surrounded by beautiful hikes

Our group (4 couples, all 60+) truly enjoyed Baker Chalet as our “base camp” to explore the Mt Baker area. The weather was wet and chilly and the owner showed up to turn on the fireplace pilot light to ensure we had a cozy stay. The house is spacious; comfortable L-shape sofa in the livingroom and large dining table that easily accommodated 8 adults. The kitchen is very well equipped (a smaller 2nd kitchen down stairs but we never used it). Abundant towels for both bath and hot tub. Large wrap around deck and outdoor table/seats are welcoming, only wish the weather was dry enough for us to enjoy the outdoor living space. Also, the new lawn is beautiful. ChristaIs a great communicator and very responsive. We will rent Baker Chalet again!

Wonderful, restful retreat

This home is fantastic. Peaceful, quiet, close to hiking trails and immaculately clean. The kitchen has all the needed amenities and everything is in excellent condition. Family Birthday

Had a wonderful time. It was the perfect place to be together, we wanted to try the slopes or snow at Mt.Baker one last time. All of us where able to enjoy the mountain or just hang out at the Chalet. Very relaxing and comfortable for all of us.

Lovely late winter retreat!

We were a group of adult friends plus two kids and we really enjoyed our stay! The basement bedroom was a comfortable and cozy sleeping arrangement for the two parents and kids, and we loved the open floorplan with mountain views from the kitchen/dining room / living room. A little creative how the master is off the kitchen, but more than ample space for our crew of 6! The hosts could not be better communicators and we appreciated their detailed instructions (e.g. for the hot tub and check out), and WiFi that survived a few rogue conference calls! The kitchen was well appointed (love the branded mugs!) with all the essentials, and All-Clad pans.

Baker 2006 to Present

Great property. we have been going to the Baker Chalet since 2011 and have never been disappointed. The house is very nice and the owner and manager are very responsive if anything is needed. We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone.

MT Hiking trip 2023

The property looks exactly as showing on VRBO. From Booking to Checking in, the booking agent has excellent communication with our questions event during our stay. The Chalet is beautiful. Host provide all needed beddings and kitchen tools and supplies. Very nice and clean, and quiet. This is a highly recommended place to for family and friends. We love it so much that we plan to go back next year!

The property was fabulous and very well appointed. I appreciated the energy the owner put into ensuring all the small details were taken care of down to well stocked cooking pots/pans and utensils as well as hot tub towels. Mount Baker Family Vacation
