"The Peaceful Cottage was very comfortable, extremely clean, and well appointed. After driving on the I-5 all day, it was a cool respite in the heat on my journey. I really liked the little yard for my dog. I only stayed one night but it is close to Redding and Shasta lake dam which was pretty to see in the evening. There are a few restaurants in Shasta Lake town but many more options in nearby Redding. Overall, it was a very nice night's stay."

The photos honestly don’t do the view justice. It’s gorgeous. The kitchen has everything you need, the master bedroom is as comfortable as you could hope for (we didn’t use any of the guest rooms), and the hot tub is really the highlight of the property. "Perfect place for big group of 16. We have rented this place twice now and have had a great time both stays! Has everything for a big grout of guys or a few families. Everything is just nice enough to not worry about breaking something. Pool is too cold for October though. A heated pool would make the place even better. We will probably be back a some point."

"We were a small high school in need of a property for a leadership retreat and this one was a great, budget friendly option for our group of 16. All of our students had a great time and enjoyed the lake access and the game room. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The check in and check out process were simple and the property manager Francesca was very prompt and helpful in replying to all our questions. Thanks for a great stay! "

"The decor was unobtrusively part of the house, yet drew you in at the same time. A lot of thought went into making you feel welcome,and then immediately at home at the same time. Everything was spotless clean, an inviting aroma just as you walk in. Everything was explained in friendly detail. This was a 5 star experience. We will be back. "The property was gorgeous and the view from the deck was breathtaking. Living near a major city with all the light pollution that comes with it, I don't get to see the stars much. I loved laying out on the deck at night, looking at the shooting stars and the Milky Way. The beds were comfortable and the rain shower was a great way to wake up. The only complaint is the book full of rules that wasn't mentioned in the listing. There were a lot of rules. "

"Beautiful lake location. Loved watching the evening sunset from the deck. Lots of room to spread out. Lovely quiet neighborhood. I don't recommend trying to get down to the water if your senior or carrying a child. Great retreat are so close to boat rentals. Thank you so much!"
