This was a very nice place to stay. A lot of room for the kids to play in the yard and the river. Also we had previously arranged to park two of our RVs on the property. It is quiet and off the beaten path but still easy to get to. Ron is a great host.

Excellent stay with all the benefits of camping… fire pit, dark night sky, nature sounds, outdoor dining activities and games… but without the hassle and downsides. The cabin was spacious, clean, with comfortable beds, and A/C to keep cool. We enjoyed a tethered inner tube float on the river out back, fishing, and watching all the hummingbirds buzzing around. There are multiple areas for outdoor seating including a large covered patio to keep you dry. The location was convenient to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison and the Grand Mesa. We had yummy Third Bowl ice cream at a cute shop in Crawford called the Lucky Horseshoe and the kids enjoyed the swarm of sunflower seed seeking chipmunks at the Lands End observatory. Would definitely recommend this property!

This was by far the best rental we have had in years, I would recommend this facility to anyone that wants to be close to all local actives or just hang out and relax by the river. The home is well stocked with all that you would ever need and the location is fantastic. I would give it a 10 star rating if I could. Thanks Ron for sharing your beautiful home

Gunnison River Black Canyon Fly Fishing Trip

We stayed here before and after our Gunnison River Fly Fishing Float Trip. The locate was minutes away from our early morning meet point. And a short ride back after the trip. Place was great and as described. The woodpeckers were a nice touch

Wonderful spot right on the Gunnison River

Our visit was with other family who are local to the Delta area. Access to the property is a bit tricky but the host was extremely helpful both before and during our stay. Directions to the property on VRBO website are excellent.This delightful lodge in a pretty setting exceeded our expectations by a lot. It was well stocked with most any items one would reasonably expect. We would definitely return.

Nice clean place by the river

We enjoyed this property. It is very private and right next to the river. My wife and I stayed there with three of our grown kids. It is a log house with a nice, vaulted ceiling inside. A separate dining room served well as a remote work room for some of us, and upstairs has a nice reading/sitting room area. We will visit here again. Thanks!

The Hideaway

The cabin is hidden down on the river, it's in the perfect location not to far off the main road and only a few minutes to town. It was very clean and comfortable. The perfect spot if you want to be on the river and sleep with the sound of the water flowing over the rocks. It was peaceful and relaxing. Great place to stay.

Lovely, relaxing stay by the Gunnison

This place is so lovely and relaxing! We spent time by the river fishing, reading, and enjoying the fire pit. Everyone had a wonderful time. I think the thing that makes this place extra special is way it’s stocked like a home—we found everything we needed including games and s’more sticks. Thanks for the lovely stay!

Peaceful riverfront location!

We had an amazing stay at this peaceful retreat on the Gunnison river. The pictures don’t do the cabin justice – it’s even better in person! The location was perfect for exploring many parts of Colorado. We spent some time in Delta, explored Black Canyon National Park, driving through Paonia and Hotchkiss that day, and stopped at Big B's in Paonia. Driving the Grand Mesa Scenic Byway and spending time on the Grand Mesa was absolutely beautiful, and we drove through the towns of Cedaredge and Mesa that day as well. We also drove through Ridgway to Ouray and over the Million Dollar Highway to Silverton. It's a great location for many scenic drives, especially in the fall. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene getaway!

neat getaway

The property was in a convenient location, close to town and easy to get to. However, the cabin still has a secluded feel to the area. The space is neat, comfortable, and has everything we could have asked for. my kids lived in the river all weekend catching crawdads. as happy as could be. The host, Ron, is kind and helpful. i would recommend this cabin to any outsider looking for getaway into nature.

Secluded but close to town

The house was beautiful and in an ideal location. You are a short drive to grocery stores and restaurants but the house’s location is private, secluded with the Gunnison river out your back door. The outdoor seating is plentiful and the fire pit was great for s’mores. Our kids had a wonderful time exploring the yard and fishing in the river. The house was more than big enough for our family of 6. We would definitely recommend this home.

Gunnison River Vacation Getaway

We had a wonderful family vacation in Delta on the Gunnison river. The cabin did not disappoint. The owners had everything you could need on the premises. If you cannot relax at this home, the problem is definitely you. Because the sound of the river and crickets put all of the busyness of life out of our minds. We drove to other lakes and other parts of the river and had success fishing. We could not have asked for more calm and peaceful vacation.
