Having paid for a garden view room, I only saw a slither of grass & a picnic table! "Beds were cheap and to soft. The linens are poly cotton with a cheap feel. The room had a smell of the kitchen cooking and also in the hallway. If the location was not convenient we definitely would not stay there."

"Room was nice and cosy , unfortunately had to leave for work every day to early for breakfast but there were some bits and pieces there if I wanted , plenty of hot water for a bath , bed was nice and comfortable, the only bad thing was someone had been in the room and taken my shampoo and razor the day before I left so could not was my hair or have a shave "

"We stayed at Thatcher’s Hotel (part of Surya Hotels) for three nights during half term. Overall, it’s an average hotel but offers good value for money. The rooms have been renovated and are modern and comfortable, and the beds were very comfortable which we appreciated. However, there were a few downsides. "Lovely place to stay, high quality. Accommodated us with a takeaway breakfast as we had to leave earlier than the scheduled breakfast time. We had an evening meal in the pub which was superb. A slight bit of noise from the pub in the room during working hours but only to be expected, very quiet otherwise. Definitely would stay there again 👍"

"Had a great stay atvyhe Hurtwood. Found it by chance. Great village with plenty of walking direct in to the Surrey Hills as directed by the lovely lady who checked us in. Room very comfortable with fresh milk provided. We found the car park easy for a big car, but would not be so easy in season I think. Dinner in the bar was excellent and good portions. Breakfast cooked to order also great. Will go again. Thank you."
