It was here that Future President John F Kennedy wrote his inaugural address and selected his cabinet. It was also here that Joseph Kennedy had a stroke in 1961 that left him unable to speak. Great place and people.

Freddie is a wonderful hostess. When my wife got I'll on the day we were going to leave Freddie arranged for us to stay a couple of extra days until she was feeling better to travel. Thanks again, Freddie! You're the best!

Nice cute place

Decent area, safe places to walk. Freddie is very nice. 4 stars on the house, 5 on everything else. Bring OFF, the mosquitos are bad. Very beautiful landscaping. All in all, one of the nicer places we've stayed.

Surprises

Other reviewers have covered the basics of this lovely property. Here are a few pleasant surprises not mentioned in prior reviews: The space is larger than it appears in the pictures. Plenty of closet and other storage space. The kitchen has a full-sized stove and sink, decent counter space, lots of cupboard space, and a fridge bigger than the one I've got at home. The bathroom is small but nicely decorated, and you will enjoy the spa-style shower. The porch is as delightful as everyone says it is. Also, it's really large - about ten feet wide and maybe 25 feet long. We ate every meal on the porch, and never once sat on the sofa in the living room. Truly a splendid porch. No pictures accurately depict the view from the porch. What you see is your own little tropical garden. The garden is full of adorable little lizards, about four inches long, that will skitter across the path as you walk from your car to your door. This is a three-unit building and each unit has a porch. Each porch is set up for maximum privacy. Several folks have mentioned proximity to grocery stores and the French Bakery. The apartment is also less than two blocks from a lovely deli and there's a chocolate factory across the road from the French bakery. The biggest surprise about the location of this property is its overall privacy. Despite proximity to the aforementioned conveniences. the building is tucked away on a quiet street in a quiet neighborhood. A splendid property. We were delighted.

Great Location, Wonderful Experience

I have been returning to Freddy’s rental for the three years. It’s always a great time, the rental is clean and nicely decorated, and Freddy is always a pleasure to rent from.

Great location, close to everything

Cute 2 bedroom cottage, attached to 2 other units in residential neighborhood. Very private, nicely landscaped, lovely porch to sit and read or have your morning coffee. Comfy beds and new flat screen TV’s (2). Furniture has been updated on porch and in house since VRBO photos, so I suggest new photos be posted. Showcase the newer furniture! Washer and dryer are shared and outside, under cover, but very accessible. Never had a problem doing laundry. Close to George Bush Blvd., about 5-6 block walk to promenade that goes along beach. Can walk to Atlantic Ave. and everything going on in Delray Beach. Also very close to Boynton Beach. Excellent location. A few housekeeping suggestions.. Linens: There is a need for pillowcases for the extra pillows in the closets. Another set of sheets would have been nice also. There are no hand towels for the bathroom. Kitchen: Sharp knives would have been helpful. Teaspoons are needed, there were only 2. The can opener does not work. The kitchen light switch is broken and needs to be replaced. Also, please refrain from using room deodorizer. I had the windows open all of the time and still had difficulty getting the smell removed. I would definitely recommend this place as a vacation rental. I stayed for a month and was very pleased with the location and the apartment. Aside from the few items I mentioned, which obviously were not game changers, it is a great place to stay. What can be better than Florida weather in the winter!

Enjoyed our Unit 2 vacation rental for the month of January, 2019. We were greeted with a vase of fresh flowers and a bottle of wine. That set the tone for our stay. Property was clean and in a fantastic location. Neighborhood safe and quiet. Friendly neighbors. Covered porch to enjoy the beautiful weather early mornings or late evenings. We thought the small lights hanging around the porch a nice touch, especially when coming in late at night. We were pleased at how comfortable the mattress was on our bed. Please do not change that mattress! Tom, Freddy, and Paola (landlords) responsive and attentive to requests. I would suggest that knives be sharpened or replaced. All dull. Also, the light switch beside the fridge needs to be replaced. When we arrived, the cleaning people had used too many air fresheners which we had to locate and remove. Great place. We will be back.

Adorable Indeed!

We spent the month of March here and had a wonderful time. We loved the location; near downtown, the beach and I-95. The unit is nicely decorated and was just enough space for the two of us. Be prepared for the train whistle - it is constant. This is the middle unit in a three unit building and is pet-friendly. Freddie was very helpful with our arrival and responsive to our initial needs.

Just What We Needed

We were in Delray for a family reunion and had two large houses rented. We needed a third smaller place for one family and this was perfect. It was clean, the location was great and the owner was very responsive to all of my inquiries. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved the unit and throughly enjoy our stay. Handy location for our needs. Clean and neat. Beautiful grounds and loved the porch!I do have a few suggestions: the unit did not have any wash cloths. No dish soap. No channel guide. Also an alarm clock would have been nice. We were able to get the needed items from our daughter so it was not an inconvenience but possibly would be for others.We would recommend this unit to others
