Check in was using a safe box to collect the key.
Check out was dropping the key into a safe box.
Room was clean and pleasant though and we had everything we needed."

"We had a lovely short stay at Macbeth’s Hillock. The cottage was clean, cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed. We mainly stayed there overnight while travelling, but I also cooked dinner there, which worked very well. The location is peaceful, close to local sights, and right next to a farm with beautiful sheep, which made the stay feel even more charming. A very pleasant place for our short stay."

"AWFUL STAY, ABSOLUTE HOVEL OF A PLACE
Overall a very disappointing stay. Check in is confusing as the address given on Expedia isn’t the place you get the keys from. When getting to the other hotel, there was a reception closed sign (just after 4pm) at the desk and a number to phone. Not ideal when guests are to be expecting to check in. Upon eventually getting the keys, Robert was rude and not welcoming at all. Made us feel like we were an inconvenience to him for asking him to come to...
