  • Bienvenido a Captain’s Cottage, esta propiedad amplia y luminosa tiene 3 habitaciones dobles, 2 baños, 2 salas de recepción y una gran cocina / comedor. Hay un bonito jardín cerrado con asientos informales. Cuando ingrese por la puerta principal de Captain's Cottage, no tendrá dudas de que está cerca del mar mientras explora la casa y observa la decoración costera nítida azul y blanca, las tablas del piso despojado y los hallazgos costeros interesantes cuidadosamente organizados en este hermosa casa.

    La atractiva propiedad de 2 plantas se encuentra en Gilford Road, a pocos pasos del castillo de Deal, el famoso paseo marítimo y todos los servicios locales.     El estacionamiento es limitado en Gilford Road, sin embargo, debido a la ubicación central, una vez que haya llegado y descargado su vehículo, puede estacionar en una de las calles cercanas de forma gratuita y, con suerte, no necesitará usar su automóvil durante su estadía. El establecimiento se encuentra a pocos pasos de la estación de tren de Deal.

    Sala de recepción trasera
    La segunda sala de recepción / estudio está a lo largo del corredor a su derecha y tiene una vista del hermoso jardín. Esta habitación también tiene un útil escritorio de trabajo, sofá cama, asientos adicionales y una gran chimenea original. * Tenga en cuenta que actualmente la chimenea no está en uso.

    Cocina / Comedor
    La cocina / comedor grande, luminosa y recién decorada, está dispuesta en la parte trasera de la planta baja con acceso directo al jardín desde dos puertas separadas. La elegante mesa de comedor circular tiene capacidad para 6 personas, la cocina bien equipada es lo suficientemente grande como para que el "chef" del grupo pueda preparar comidas cómodamente mientras el resto de la fiesta se sienta y charla. Hay una cocina, microondas, nevera-congelador y lavavajillas. Hay armarios de cocina empotrados y equipados con una gran variedad de vajilla, cristalería y equipos de cocina para garantizar que tenga todo lo que necesita durante su estancia.

    Baño en planta baja y área de servicios públicos
    El primero de los 2 baños se encuentra en este piso y tiene una cabina de ducha con ducha eléctrica, lavabo e inodoro. Hay una pequeña área de servicio separada con lavadora y secadora. El acceso al jardín es posible desde aquí, así como desde el comedor.

    Primer piso
    Las escaleras alfombradas de sisal lo llevan al primer piso, donde en la parte trasera hay 2 habitaciones dobles con camas dobles, una decoración atractiva, TV y un amplio espacio de almacenamiento.

    Dormitorios orientados hacia atrás
    Las dos habitaciones traseras tienen camas dobles, TV, amplio espacio de almacenamiento y ambas se benefician de impresionantes vistas de un área de "pradera" virgen, propiedad de English Heritage. También hay atisbos vislumbres del mar desde estas dos habitaciones luminosas y decoradas con buen gusto.

    Baño principal y WC
    El baño principal se encuentra en el centro del primer piso y tiene un baño incorporado, cabina de ducha separada con ducha eléctrica y lavamanos. El WC separado está al lado.

    Recamara principal
    El tercer y último dormitorio se encuentra a través de unas escaleras y tiene vista a la calle. Este es el más grande de los 3 dormitorios y tiene una cama doble, amplio espacio de almacenamiento y TV.

    Jardín trasero
    El bonito jardín cerrado ha sido cuidadosamente plantado con una gran variedad de plantas con flores blancas y árboles de hoja perenne. ¡Hay un área pavimentada con una mesa y sillas frescas, blancas y casuales perfectas para sentarse y tomar un café por la mañana o tal vez un atardecer o una barbacoa!

Great locatiin

Great location and perfect for stays with dogs. Bedrooms lovely. Sweet little courtyard garden. Lounge comfortable. Kitchen could do with updating. Hardly any work tops for preparing food, musty smelling cupboards and very random cupboard full of owners collectibles. Overall though a good stay.

Es war super schön, es hat einfach alles gepasst. Sehr hübsches Haus und sehr schöne Kleinstadt, wir kommen wieder!

We had a great stay in the Captain's Cottage. Very roomy and reasonably priced. Comfortable beds and good showers. Conveniently located for town and sea front. Definitely worth staying there.

Spacious holiday home

Captain’s cottage is ideally located for the beach and enjoying Deal shops. The house has 3 spacious bedrooms with the luxury of 2 bathrooms. The kitchen is a good size, fully equipped and with access to the small paved garden. Plenty of living space.

Comfortable and convenient

Captain's Cottage provided us with the perfect place to stay. It is roomy and comfortable with tasteful decorative details. It is well equipped, especially in the kitchen. The accommodation is roomy and attractive. We love Deal and Captain's Cottage is a great place to stay for access to the beach, the town and local attractions.

Lovely home away from home

We had a lovely long weekend at The Captains Cottage. The location is good for both Deal and Walmer. The house was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Wifi good enough to do some work zoom meetings while there.

Ideal base for a family holiday

We had a wonderful three-week stay at Captain's Cottage. The location is perfect - especially for young families or older visitors - with the beach, the castle, the playground, the amenities at Roman Landings and the large supermarkets all on the doorstep. The bedrooms are all generously sized and with two bathrooms and two WCs, it's easy to have some privacy. The property itself is in need of some TLC, but with young children, friends and family all visiting us, it suited us that way. The team at Keeper's Cottages were quick to respond to issues and were always helpful and polite. Thank you for a great stay.

comfortable and stylish house.close to the centre of Deal

This is a good sized house with three bedrooms. It is stylishly decorated and comfortable and well equipped (though we couldn't find any baking tray). It is very handy for the centre of Deal. But it is quite a busy road and we were lucky to be able to park in the street, though there is also parking in nearby streets. We had a very enjoyable time here and felt we got very good value for money.

Wow! So many fascinating books and maps to enjoy.

Captain's Cottage is definitely the best equipped and most comfortable cottage we have stayed in and once you have learned to negotiate the nearby road system, an easy walk to the promenade and beach. Had two of the best meals ever at The Rose and Frog & Scot - delightful atmosphere in both places and excellent staff. Deal is a thriving, pretty town and well worth at least a morning wandering around. Showers are powerful and easy to operate. What more can I say! We will be back! Lady Bee, Oxon June 2024

Did not live up to the description - needs a bit of TLC

The positives - Captain's cottage is well located near to the seafront and the town centre, a good location for guests using public transport. There is a good amount of space and the kitchen is well equipped. The wi-fi was good, once we had found the router with the details. Keepers Cottage were very helpul and quick to send out a handyman to oil the stiff locks (including one which almost left me stuck in the downstairs loo on the first night), and to replace several faulty bulbs. The down side - quite few things didn't work, the furniture is an odd mixture of old and new, lots of the cupboards are full of old stuff (eg the older fitted cupboards in the kitchen which smelt musty, leaving nowhere to store our food). There seemed to be something wrong with the wiring as the landing light failed again soon after the bulb was replaced - then we realised why someone had left a standard lamp on the landing. The BT TV box and remote didn't work (too many dead buttons on the remote and missing an internet connection). The guest information booklet needs updating to include information about things like wi-fi SSID and password, bin days and recycling, and about parking - it says you can park outside, but the road is now in a controlled zone and there is no parking permit in the house. It also says the fires escape route is via the side alley, but the street door is locked and there is no key in the house.

A happy Christmas time in Deal

Our stay was comfortable and most satisfactory for a celebration with family nearby. Clean and well equipped; an amazing wide-ranging library kept us dipping into books all week. The woodburner was enjoyed too - more fuel please. Excellent showers, grab bars for oldies so helpful. Deal is fab! Christmas market, individual owner shops, brunch at the pier cafe. Permit parking road does give visitors a challenge - cannot dodge that. But it was very good overall.

Tasteful well equipped house

This is second time 3 friends and I have have stayed at the Captains Cottage. The house is spacious and comfortable with excellent facilities. It is located just behind Deal castle so very close to the sea. The only downside is that the surrounding properties are rather run down. This does not negatively impact on the fact that this is a lovely house to stay in. The fact that we chose to return says it all.

Fantastic time

On arrival and entry into Captains Cottage the entire family fell in love with the property. The rear bedroom gave an excellent view of a field when young fox cubs could be seen playing. The town is only a short walk away as is the beach. The Blue Mermaid sells the most fanatastic Cod fish andf chips (in the top 10 UK). Broadstairs is only a quarter of an hours drive and has an amazing beach. The family didn´t want to leave they enjoyed the holiday so much. The kettle in the kitchen was so impressive I bought one.

LACK OF ATTENTION TO REAR GARDEN, WHICH WAS DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING.

THE GARDEN WAS NOT AS SHOWN IN THE DETAILS, IT WAS VERY OVER GROWN. THE TRELLIS ON THE WALL WAS FALLING DOWN AND THE CLIMBERS WERE SO TANGLED, THE POTS WERE WEEDY AND THE PLANTS DEAD. WE HAD TO BORROW SOME LOPPERS FROM A NEIGHBOUR SO THAT WE COULD CLEAR A SPACE FOR THE TABLE. WE WERE TOLD WE COULD ACCESS THE ALLEYWAY FOR THE RUBBISH BUT THE GATE WAS LOCKED AND THERE NO KEY. WE LEFT THE RUBBISH OUTSIDE THE FRENCH WINDOWS IN THE WRONG BAGS AS THERE WERE NO BLACK SACKS ETE. KEEPERS COTTAGES SHOULD CHECK THE COTTAGES REGULARLY AND ALSO UPDATE THE DETAILS.

A peaceful holiday

A beautiful house with lots of space and tastefully decorated. The town of Deal is very friendly with lots of good cafes and restaurants The walks along the pebbled beach were wonderful and Walmer castle well worth visiting. Only suggestion would be to provide a better welcome pack.

Comfortable

We really enjoyed our stay at Captain’s Cottage The location is ideal, being close to the sea and town centre Whilst there is no parking outside the cottage (residents only for periods over 2 hrs), there is parking along from the castle so it wasn’t a problem. The cottage itself is lovely - lots of space and well equipped. The beds are very comfortable and the showers are good too. Camilla and the team provided all necessary information and answered any queries promptly. Highly recommended.

A home from home in beautiful Deal

We loved staying in Captain's Cottage, Deal. The house was very well equipped, clean and tidy - and it felt really homely. We stayed with our children and Camilla and the team provided excellent instructions and information on the local area. Parking was a bit of a juggle as the road has restricted parking, but it certainly didn't spoil the holiday - just worth noting if you need car access close by. I would definitely recommend using Keepers Cottages and hope to be paying another visit to this lovely part of the world.

Lovely house with lots of books

This is a charming house with a seaside decor. It is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. The house was spotless when we arrived. Kudos to the cleaning team. We particularly enjoyed the eclectic array of books and maps. Parking is a bit tricky but not impossible to get a spot in the street. The beach is close by across an admittedly busy road. You can walk to the main High Street in 5 minutes. We will definitely return.

A lovely stay in a great home from home

We loved being able to walk to the beach, and cycle along the promenade. We enjoyed ice creams, bikes, the pier among other things! The check in and out were simple and Keepers responded promptly to queries. Thanks so much!
