"Keyless entry failed twice during our four night stay.Had to wait for owner to contact locksmith. Second time was after midnight before locksmith arrived.Results were that lock bolt for keyless entry was not installed correctly causing deadbolt to get stuck and not open door.Drain pipe in kitchen sink was not connected and flooded the kitchen floor when we used."

"This house is ridiculous, but in a good and fun way. We were in town with family to celebrate our daughter's graduation from Drake and this house was an excellent fit for our group. We only had seven people, but there is easily room to sleep 10 comfortably. We didn't use the kitchen, but the dining room table was great for a game of Five Crowns and we played a few games of darts in the game room downstairs.Location wise, it was a quick and easy drive from the house to both Drake and downtown Des...

"Easy to get to and from where we needed to be. Small but clean and met all the needs for sleeping except one part-basement included sleeping option for the couch but doesn’t work if you’re over 6 feet tall. We managed with that since it was a teenager. :) Overall we’re planning to stay again!"

"Great house with plenty of space for hosting a small group get together! The location is close to downtown and easy to get to! "

"The house worked out great for our recent visit for a family wedding. The location was convenient, and the home was clean and exactly as advertised. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had, which made everything go smoothly. I would definitely stay here again on a future visit!"

"We really enjoyed our stay here! The neighborhood felt safe, the garage was set up fun with games, a ping pong table, bar, tv, table, and couch. Great for lounging around and having the garage doors open on a nice day. The house also has many bedrooms with multiple beds in several. This allowed everyone to sleep comfortably. Will be booking again in the future."

"The BEST VRBO we have ever stayed in!! Absolutely beautiful! So many great little extras and little details. We were in town for our daughter's wedding and it was the perfect home to accommodate us and our extended family. So much space to spread out with places for all ages to enjoy! "My daughter and I were in the area for a basketball tournament. We booked weeks ago, but her schedule didnt come out until Tuesday the week of. We found out she didnt play until Saturday evening. On Wednesday, I asked the host if we could alter our stay to check in on Saturday to save a night. She said a refund for Friday night was NOT possible. "Friends of mine and I enjoyed a long girl's weekend at Hazel's Haven. This little house is super charming with so much potential. Logan mentioned this is a new property and over time will be doing some updating. The place is very comfortable and we had everything we needed. "We had a relaxing fun time getting all 4 little cousins together for a long weekend. This was a perfect place do so- we played in the pool, utilized the playroom, went for nature walks around the property and played outside while grilling. A wonderful time for adults and kids alike!"

"We enjoyed this home in West Des Moines. It was close enough to downtown where we needed to be, but far enough away that we could be there in a quiet neighborhood. "

"There were several issues. The lock box with the keys couldn't be opened, no one knew the code. The automatic deadbolt lock wouldn't open with number pad and could not be fixed remotely. An employee came to building to help and had me download app and it worked but took over 2 hours to get things working and I was late to an engagement. The TV never worked even with texts and calls made to report it. I was told someone would be fixing that and the microwave but they never showed. "
