Sitting right on the sand, this getaway will perch you and your guests in a great location for anything from a beach day to heading up the coast to experience the hustle and bustle of Daytona Beach proper. When you feel like venturing out a bit, grab a plate of delicious seafood from Our Deck Down Under, Crabby Joe's Deck & Grill, or DJ's Deck just to name a few local spots within walking distance. For more action, head six miles up the coast and check out Daytona Beach Main Street Pier. Or, sightseeing can be found at Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse & Museum six miles in the opposite direction.

Good Area, Okay Stay

The condo didn't meet our expectations, mainly on the cleanliness side. The floors were filthy, there were dirty dishes put away in the cabinets, the place needed a good dusting, and cosmetic maintenance is due. The listing is supported by Vacasa, after this stay I'm going to think twice about staying in a Vacasa listing. Location: The area is great for the purpose of getting to the beach. There wasn't anywhere we wanted to walk for food but if there was, it'd be about 15 minutes away approx. Now, the building that the condo is in; they still renovating, much like many other buildings nearby. Unfortunately, Daytona Shores has been hit repeatedly by hurricanes and I'm sure getting the financing to rebuild over and over doesn't come easy/fast. Just be ready for construction sounds starting about 8AM.Communication with Vacasa was very smooth and easy. We had issues with our refridgerator and due to timing and when a third party could come out to look at it, they couldn't get someone out during our stay. They took care of us for that situation, though. Contacting them about issues with getting into the room (the key pads are a bit tricky) was very easy and helpful.Overall, I'd choose to stay somewhere else. We picked this listing for the pricing, the view, and the extra bed for our toddler - of which, the condo met the needs of. We'll pay more and most likely stay on the Gulf. If you have sub standards for cleanliness and maintenance, this place will get you taken care of.

The room was as the pictures showed. However there was sand on the floor and the table had not been dusted in a while. The shower still drips. No pool and no direct access to the beach was still disappointing. It looks like it will be another year before the pool will be ready to use

Quaint getaway with an excellent view

This day was perfect for what I went for, which was a quick get away to watch the sunrise on the beach for a couple of days. It was perfect. I couldn’t have asked for a better view. Even though there was construction going on on premises, the access to the beach was still very easy. The room looked exactly like the pictures had a minor issue due to allergies, but the company was very responsive and I appreciate that.

You get what you pay for

The hotel, in general, is beat up. Looks like it's been poorly maintained, and maybe the hurricane last year did a nunber on it. No pool. Tons of construction. No direct beach access, but you can walk a quarter of a block and get on the beach. The room itself is as pictured, but a layer of dust lives on the fan, and the pillow during our stay was stained. The shower drips, and the room has a mildew smell. We reached out to vacasa, who managed the property, and they said they would send someone local to resolve the issues, but they never did. We just wanted a clean pillow as we recognize the other issues will need more than a quick fix.Overall, we wouldn't stay here again. But you get what you pay for, and the hotel is beach front, so if you want a cheap option and plan not to be in the room go for it.

Great Vaca but not as expected

I was unaware at the time of booking that the property was under construction, to include the entire pool area, beach access from the back, and the roof. The AC worked minimally and was too warm. One partial roll of TP, but vacasa rep brought us a roll up on contact, very timely. The door code was ten digits and I never memorized it. Poor listing, should have included the construction. Quite disappointed in this and the AC. The view was amazing, quanit room, nice size.

Booked 3 - Stayed 1

We booked a 3 night stay and only stayed 1. The room had a stall odor from being closed up (we first thought it was mildew or mold - but the condo was clean and free of all that). Air conditioner didn't work and we couldn't sleep because of the heat.We contacted customer service and they were super supportive and tried to assist us as much as possible, but was unable to help during the night. We checked out by 7:00 AM the first morning and found a hotel down the road. Customer service did request a refund for us, but it was not as much as we expected to receive. Said it was fees, cleaning, and taxes that made the refund so much less.I loved the view and location and just wish it had been a better situation with the air and smell. I would say this would not be the case for all visits, but just happened to be for ours.

Rolex 24 weekend

Staying in or near Daytona is a nightmare for the Rolex 24. I found this great suite on the beach, near a bridge so getting to the race was easy and about a half mile was a Publix. the pictures are accurate, it’s clean and decorated coastal, loved listening to the waves hit the sand just wished they had wine glasses. There’s a Kuerig machine instead of the Mr. Coffee if you bring your own. I would definitely rent next year

Clean and well equipped. Beautiful view from balcony.

Nice beachy decor with everything needed for a wonderful beach vacation. View from the 6th floor private balcony is amazing! Also walking distance to 4 great restaurants. I have stayed at Pirates Cove many times and this is the best room I have booked to date.

Daytona shores

Property is still in transition of recovering from hurricane Ian, no pool or outdoor seating available. Elevators were slow or out of service, beds were not comfortable for sleeping and pull out sofa. Unusual smell like a chlorine odor, shower also drips. We did like the location close to where we could get to restaurants and shopping.

Dust on walls, bathtub backed up which my husband had to fix, security chain broken, smelled of smoke covered with strong cleaners. You have to have a key to access the pool and beach but we had no key. Notified the management company (no one on-site) and never heard back to correct at least the key issue. Beach trip where you can’t access the pool or beach was pretty disappointing!

Not clean/but in great location

Experience was okay. Found Mcdonald rappers by bed and someone else's earings on floor. There was also mascara or something on sink in bathroom. The roomed smelled and the beds were horrible. However, it was a good location.

Very disappointing - stay away

We had to leave a day early because of how bad it was, and we can't get a response from the property owner about the issues we had, or our requested refund. We have stayed on the same property before, but in a different unit (units are individually owned on this property). Upon checkin, it was clear that the unit was not represented properly in the photos or descriptions. The bathroom was clean, as far as the sink/toilet/tub are concerned, and the floors seemed clean enough. It is clear that the cleaning crew is hired to do a hotel-style clean, and it appears that they did that. The rest of the unit, however, is severly lacking and the condition is not represented in the listing. The beds have very old, dingy, cheetah quilts that did not seem clean and were not like the linens in the photos. The walls are textured and over the bed by the window there are dust balls stuck to the wall all the way up to the ceiling. The ceiling fan had so much dust, we were afraid to turn it on. The amount of dust wreaked havoc on my allergies. The front door and the bathroom doors are in desparate need of cleaning from all the use - there are very dirty spots on the door jambs and door from being opened/closed/held on to. The handle to the bathroom door is very loose and seemed ready to fall off. The handle to the cold water DID fall off upon first use, and looking back at reviews, I see that this has been a problem for about a year. The beds are ridiculously uncomfortable and need to have the mattresses upgraded. We woke in pain each morning after sleeping on the mattresses. The two chairs are worn and stained, which is not appealing. In addition, the tv has no streaming capabilities or dvd player, leaving us with only local cable to watch. Considering the fact that the neighbors kept smoking (multiple substances) on their balcony, we couldn't spend much time outside or even leave the door open to listen to the waves. The smoke smell also seeps in from next door, even with the doors closed. In addition, there were no parking passes (a common complaint I see!) and the property owners told us just to leave a note on our dash. We did that, and it was fine, but given how much messaging is around the property and in the communication sent by the property owner, we were fearful of getting towed the whole time we were there. We will never stay here again, but will instead try to rent the unit several doors down that we have had before, and is in wonderful shape.

Disappointed

For the most part we were happy. Loved the renovated kitchen & bathroom and balcony table & chairs. Biggest issue we had was the worn out mattresses. Those things need replaced as soon as possible. My husband and I are walkers/bikers so we are in generally good health. It was all I could do a day or two to get out and enjoy. Never had backaches from sleeping like I had this pass week. Oh, and like previous reviews have said there was no parking pass to be had. Vacasa did bring me a temporary pass after I was told to put a note on my dash as they did not have any passes. They also called and said my car would not be towed but there are signs all over the building saying otherwise so it seems they could get better about this. All and all love Daytona and will be back but not here unless I heard they had changed out those mattresses.

Beautiful view

It was a little bit smaller than I expected. And there were several things broken like the cold water handle in the bathroom and we had trouble getting the blind to go up and down think it was the batteries. Vent fan in bathroom very loud. But the views were great and the location was great. With a few minor repairs would be very good. We enjoyed our time!
