Spend mornings lounging on one of the deck's chaises before heading out to explore the Old Fort Harrod State Park. End the day with a cookout on the gas grill and a movie night in the family room!

Awesome Deck

They thought about all the details. Had lots of little extra thoughtful items. The decorations were adorable. The deck was awesome, big and lots of seating available. The surrounding trees around the deck gave kind of a canopy but you could still see the lake. They also had a very cool fire pit table on the deck. We would definitely stay here again. Very beautiful and cool place. It was also clean. We had no issues with our stay but if we would have the property manager was in constant contact and available.

Very Satisfied

We loved this house and area. Shira was a great host. If we are in a fishing tournament again next year we plan on staying there again. Hearing the karaoke at the marina last night from our back porch was an added entertaining bonus….

Very pleasant stay,

This was a lovely home overlooking a lake. It was cute and comfy. One guest stayed in the loft over the second bedroom. The stairway up is steep, so it is a good idea that a fit person be the one to use this space. Also, be aware that the full bathroom is attached to the Master, so the timing of showers for others needs to be planned. We enjoyed the deck and the sunporch very much!

Perfect. Memorable. Brought back many memories as I lived on lake years ago! Extremely clean! When originally booked it was $195 a night. When added extra time price went up. Questioned back then and never got a response. Not happy with that. Owner’s were very gracious when propane went out. But fireplace didn’t work and I left 3 days early due to being very sick.

Beautiful view, adorable house!

Beautiful view, adorable house, very comfortable. Very clean! We grilled out and cooked in. Kitchen has everything. The deck is amazing. Walk to marina which has karaoke, bands, restaurant with comfort foods and ice cream! Great getaway!!

Perfect in every way.

The pictures don’t do this cozy getaway justice. Great location with a wonderful deck overlooking the lake. The house was spotless and stocked with anything and everything you need to enjoy and relax. The owner was fantastic and responded immediately.

The place was awesome. My only issue was not having internet access.

The lake house was beautiful. Very well kept and nice spacious, comfortable feel. The views were gorgeous. The kitchen and bathroom were stocked up. Close to the marina. My only issue was no internet connection during my stay. I contacted the owner and he was very apologetic and accommodating, however, this messed me up for work. Great place to stay excluding that.

Warmth on a very cold weekend!

The property manager made this property easy to rent. The description is exactly as presented. Signage could be amped up a little bit, or directions could be better for finding Sunset Lodge Rd, and from the turn off to "Our Lakeside Retreat". Was a little confusing when arriving in the dark. Once we arrived, we did a walk through. The home was very nicely decorated and had everything you could want. We did experience trouble with the television, but the property manager was quick to respond to our cry for help and remedied the situation promptly. Because it was so bitterly cold we didn't get to enjoy the outside amenities, but the inside kept us very comfortable. It was very quiet and relaxing, and the view was amazing even if only through the windows!! I'm sure the different seasons bring about different experiences!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The house was very nice. Shower was a little small but nice. Found out that there is no longer any shore fishing allowed at the lake. There is not any direct access to the lake behind the house. Very enjoyable and relaxing stay - just what we were looking for.

Great Getaway Cabin

This was a great place to stay. Amazing deck out back with views of the lake (river?). Nice interior with a good bedroom and shower. Very peaceful place to stay. The owner was very quick to respond to the few hiccups we had.

Perfect Retreat

Communication with the owner was excellent. Everything advertised was exact. Comfortable bed, and every amenity you could possibly want. Lovely view of the winding lake (river) and a large deck to sit on and take in the beauty. Bathrooms are a bit small but great water pressure and shower. Perfect stay and highly recommend.

Perfect for our Honeymoon

Beautiful location overlooking the lake. Cottage was in perfect condition, beautiful inside and out. A lovely sun room with a very large attached deck. Newly remolded, clean and came with all necessary amities. Host were courteous and quick to answer to any questions. We loved it and hope to rent again for another weeks stay. Highly Recommended!!

A Quiet and Relaxing Getaway

Our stay in Lancaster was absolutely perfect for a quiet and relaxing getaway! The house was clean and gorgeous, and provided all the amenities that you could ask for. The owner did let me know ahead of time that there was one small amenity missing - which was not a big deal to us, but we really appreciated the communication! Speaking of communication, the owner was always available and answered any questions we had within minutes. We did have one small issue with a smoke detector, but again, it was taken care of as quickly as possible and had a minimal interruption on our trip. Overall, the house is packed with games, fishing poles, and any spices and pots and pans you may need for cooking! We had such a great time and will definitely keep this house in mind for the future!
