"Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. "

"Very friendly and helpful reception. Spacious and comfortable overall. The washer in our suite was an older model with unclear instructions so we spent more time than we would have liked on laundry. Limited parking on site for £12 per night, tight spaces."

"The ‘studio’ was a medium size bedroom with a shower room built into the corner and fridge, basin and microwave in a shelving unit along the wall. One of the two windows didn’t open and I had to move the bed so I could get the 2nd window open enough to try get fresh air in and cool the room. I definitely over paid a lot for what I got."
