  • This 1940's Farm House is hidden in plain site. It has been stripped down to its original bones. It's unique features give it great character. This two bedroom one bath features a four foot round galvanized tub shower combo. It has a full kitchen, minus the dishwasher, with everything you need to prepare your own meals. If cooking was not on the agenda your just minutes away from historical downtown McKinney Cultural District, offering a variety of boutiques, restaurants, pubs and wineries. After a trip to town, take a walk down to the pond and prehaps go fishing. Enjoy a game of horseshoes or make smore's in the fire pit. The house is surrounded by 79 acres of farmland, it sits on top of a hill so there is always a breeze. Relax on the porch with your favorite beverage and watch the cows and calves as they graze in the pasture. If you need some alone time, cozy up by the fireplace with a good book. Great family getaway or couples weekend retreat. Its not the Hilton but its feels like home. It is a 1940 farm house so it does get COLD in the winter even with HEATERS. Bring winter clothes for inside and out. The house isn’t really design for long term rental….No WiFi…No washer/dryer…All money goes through VRBO. If you have a pet ….select pet in pricing.

Eclipse Trip

Great getaway!

If you’re looking to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, don’t hesitate to book Susie’s fabulous farmhouse in McKinney. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the porch while listening to songbirds, cozy cuddles from Kali the cat, and view spectacular sunrises and sunsets. A short drive to the adorable downtown McKinney for shopping and dining is a plus.

Peaceful hideaway

We had a wonderful stay while in town visiting some family. Thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet being off the beaten path. Communication was prompt and we had zero issues. Highly recommend this property and we will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Comfy with cows and a cat!

We got away to have a nice place to work and plan. This was the perfect spot. It is beautiful and had everything we needed. We loved having Kali the cat to keep us company during the day and seeing the cows each morning. The beds were comfortable and the surroundings were relaxing.

Such a great weekend. Had dinner and entertainment in downtown McKinney with VERY short drive back to the farm to watch some Astros play in the World Series. Terrific Time and place.

A must stay!

This was hands down the best VRBO I have stayed at in a very long time. From the communication from the owner Susie, cleanliness, comfort (the beds are amazing), sunrises and sunsets, the cows, fully stocked kitchen and bathroom, fire pit with S’mores and the absolute golden touch was Kali the cat. This will be my home away from home when I travel to McKinney. Thank you!

A Quiet Slice of Country Heaven

This place truly had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a peaceful retreat. Every morning, we were greeted by the cows in the pasture—a charming touch that made it feel like a true countryside escape. The sweet farm cat was always around too. The space itself was cozy, clean, and well-stocked. It was the perfect balance of rustic charm and modern comfort. My parents loved it so much they’ve already decided this will be their go-to spot whenever they visit from out of town. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with lots of heart!

Excellent farmhouse experience

I had a wonderful week-long stay at this farmhouse in McKinney. The house sits on almost 80 acres of beautiful pastures with around 30 cows and bulls (my count at the time) roaming freely in them. Kali the cat roams in and out of the house and is very affectionate and friendly. It’s a great place to enjoy nature, and yet downtown McKinney is a short drive (10-15 minutes) away. I would certainly stay here again.

Peaceful Paradise

What a wonderful place! Felt like we were back in time in the middle of the country! Just 10 min from historic downtown! Very cute farm house! Beautiful property with cows and the sweetest farm cat you'll ever meet! We didn't want to leave! We'll definitely be back!

Cozy little Farm

This is such a cozy little farm house. It’s beautiful and authentic. The animals being there just makes it that much more real. They have a beautiful farm cat named Kali who was so loving. The fire pit made for great conversation.

Little slice of heaven close to town

Our family stayed at Susie's farm for 2 nights, and loved every minute. The house is adorable, and the beds are so comfy!! We enjoyed having a fire each night, and snuggling with the barn cat, Calie. Downtown Mckinney is less than 10 min away! We will for sure be back!!!
