Property was fine , for what we needed. Trash was overflowing when we got there, but trash did run 2 days later. Grass was knee high and we were told it would be cut, never did House was cool when we checked in, but everday we left , i believe the smart thermostat was turned off by the manager. Everyday house was hot when we came home. Never would cool off until the next morning. Location was great and quiet. Lots of room.

Family Gathering

It was a great place for a family gathering. The only reason for 4 stars was a lack of bedding for the two sofa beds and there were only 2 forks. The grounds were lovely with lots of shady trees and lots of space including a fire pit that we did not use

Unhappy

The inside was nice and clean. However, the yard was covered in trash and not mowed. There are open sewage holes in the yard that smell like sewage. Plus these hole were a breeding ground for mosquitoes, which made it unbearable to enjoy the outside areas. They did send someone to pick up the trash, but there was still a bunch of trash left and the unkept yard. I was told the property owner would be there to mowed but they never showed up. I have pictures but no way to attach them here.

The good, the bad and the ugly…

The good… we were in town for a wedding that was held at River Walk Chapel. The location to the wedding venue was perfect (less than 1 mile) The bad… we never got check-in details and I had to track down the property mgr to get the info. When we arrived at the house there were dirty clothes left behind from the previous guests, no towels in any bathrooms (towels left in dryer by cleaning crew), the house was 82° inside and the A/C unit never really worked correctly to cool the house, The pantry had random left-over food, there were stains on couch and area rug, and the outside trash was completely full with no other options for our own trash to be thrown out. The ugly… the photos of the home are a bit deceiving. The kitchen is really the only part of home that has been updated. The artwork was a mix of Christmas and snow-capped mountains?!(we stayed in June 😂) the TV’s are hung in strange places with cables and extension cords tacked along the middle of the walls. The stairs/deck to the home was very unstable. The entire staircase wiggled as you walked on it. No more than 1 person at a time felt safe. The hand-railing had spindles that were loose and broken, not to mention this was the only way into the home, so not easy for families with children or elderly. It was a good amount of stairs to climb (15+) so was even hard with luggage and groceries. The home did feel clean. I feel like the rental was overpriced for the quality 😕

Dirty, cheap, and lack of maintenance.

Check in was a breeze and the owner was very communicative and allowed us to check in about an hour and a half early. The neighborhood was wooded which attracted us to this property but the block was very rundown houses. Overall cleanliness of the property was 2/5 stars because it looked like they did the bare minimum to get it ready for guests. Dirty floors and dirty dishes were the main complaint. The A/C was set at 68 but the house temperature was 78 when we checked in at 3 and it took until about 10pm before it finally cooled off. I don’t know if it was the A/C unit not big enough to keep up with the Texas heat or the settings the owner had set in the locked thermostat. They did promptly reply to my messages and gave me the code to the thermostat but it was still having trouble “keeping up”. The dishwasher in the kitchen did not have power and did not work. Overall this property could have been nice long ago but they have supplied only the cheapest furnishings and have done little to no maintenance inside or out. Most of the outdoor space was unusable due to fallen limbs. There was also a sizeable tree that had fallen on the “guesthouse” and deck that poses a serious hazard.

Beautiful and spacious

This is a beautiful property that my family party of 10 thoroughly enjoyed. Minor complaints/suggestions listed at the bottom, however this was a great property. This property is centrally located, so that you'll have access to many very cool venues. However, it feels like you're nestled in the countryside while only minutes away from major retailers, convenience stores, restaurants, etc. More than enough space, seating, accommodations for our group of 10 people. We cooked meals for everyone, there was ample space . The lot for this house is expansive and beautiful with many trees and a feeling of living in the countryside. The master bedroom is huge, the second largest bedroom is spacious, the third bedroom is a small and has a bunk bed. Didn't use sofa beds. The yard has hanging lights across the property, which is handy and beautiful in the evening. We rented this place so that we could go to our niece's graduation in Denton, while still having pretty good access to other DFW venues. Property covered most of the basics like kitchen utensils, dishes, laundry soap, cleaning supplies, etc. with ample parking for our 5 vehicles. Management was super-responsive. No can opener, the dishes were not exactly clean but had been washed by previous renter, dog droppings on the back deck. No outdoor lights were on when we arrived (pitch black), timer on outdoor lights was not properly set. Thermostat is LOCKED, but we requested and received the combo. Lots of stairs!

Great space for family gathering

Spacious home with bunk bed for littles. But bring your own toys and entertainment for young children. There are no windows in the children’s room with the bunk, but we found that to be a win since we like pitch black dark for sleep anyway. We stayed during a triple digit heat wave every day for a week, and the AC unit did its job to keep us cool. Kitchen has enough amenities to cook your own meals, and has in the propane grill was much appreciated. Spacious master bedroom and shower were an added bonus. Host was very responsive when we needed help. Couches are not very comfy, but beds were very comfy.

Relaxing and quiet

Had a short stay here on while visiting family in the area. The house was very clean and spacious. We enjoyed our short stay and had space to spread out after being on a very long flight. Property was quiet and close to restaurants and parks.
