  • This 515 sq ft private cottage, built in the 1940's is 15 minutes from the Arts District, 7 minutes from Bishop Arts, 15 minutes to World Trade Center, close to downtown, but quiet & secluded, nestled at the end of a cul de sac on Cedar Creek in Elmwood, Oak Cliff. With private gardens, Texas natives, mature shady trees, front porch with chairs, it's a perfect spot to unwind and relax after a day of exploring the many sights in Dallas or Ft. Worth, or a comfortable retreat to spend on contemplation & reflection after a day of work. The cottage is very quiet and private.
    Queen bed with high quality bedding, fluffy towels, robes. Large shower with quality shampoos, conditioners & soaps/shower gels.
    You also have an outdoor patio with chiminea supplied with wood and seating as well as table & chairs for dining al fresco. You will feel that you are in the country but so close to night life. It is also perfect for honeymoons, with lots of privacy and romantic touches.
    Right next to cottage is your own private parking under a carport. Right next to cottage we have just built a small dog run with a gate off of the porch. No big dogs. Note: This property does NOT have a fenced yard. Dogs must be on leashes when outside and not in dog run.
    Across the driveway is the main house where we live. We can offer catered dinners in the very romantic backyard of this historic home, rumored to be a haunt of Bonnie & Clyde, as it was a speakeasy in the 1920’s.
    Come, relax, enjoy! We will treat each guest special with individually thought out goodies!

Wonderful Stay

The cottage and garden helped make the week's visit to Dallas wonderful. It was so quiet and the garden was very peaceful and made for a great place to sit in the morning. The location is close to shopping, restaurants and a park. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit to Dallas.

Cozy cottage in the perfect location

Felt at home

The cozy cottage was ideal for our short stay in the Dallas area. While located next to the main house at the end of a cul-de-sac, it is still very private with beautiful landscaping and courtyard area. My wife was able to work remotely from the cottage while I was away and loved the nostalgic design of this old cottage. The owners were very nice and hospitable throughout our stay.

Charming Vintage Cottage

The cottage is super comfy, private, clean and artistically decorated, inside and out. The front porch and back gardens were perfect for morning coffee and relaxing after busy days spent exploring the area. Location is great- close to restaurants, bars, unique shops and a DART station. Candice and Richard are friendly and thoughtful hosts. Thanks for the lovely stay, wine and box of goodies from the local bakery. We thoroughly enjoyed your beautiful cottage.

Weekend away

Driving in on a dark rainy day we were a little unsure about the location, but the cottage was so cute and very private. It’s obvious the owners spent a lot of time planning the garden and outdoor areas were because every inch of it feels perfectly placed and incredibly private and secluded, even though you are in a neighborhood with houses nearby. It was very cozy on a cold November weekend and exactly what we hoped for!

Perfect Dreamy Cottage!

What a dream little cottage! And an amazing garden too! Totally quiet culdesac in a sweet neighborhood. Unique furnishings, well equipped kitchen, and fully modern bathroom. Met the delightful hosts briefly, but had total privacy. The garden had little places to sit that I would have loved to use if it hadn’t rained all weekend, but I did enjoy the view of it from the cozy porch. The location is a quick drive to the Bishop arts area or to I-35 to go anywhere else. Snap up this rental if it’s available. It’s perfect!

Amazing Cottage!!!!

Amazing!!!! The cottage exceeded all of our expectations. It is located in a very quiet spot with a nice front porch to sit on and a very nice private area outside for sitting outside and relaxing in the evening. Lots of butterflies and squirrels to watch and a nice little Chimenea for making a fire. The property is exceptionally clean and very comfortable inside and out. If your looking for somewhere to stay that’s close to everything but feels like it is far away this spot is perfect. The host had everything we needed and then some to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. Would highly recommend!!!

Homie and Cute!

While we didn’t get to utilize the wonderful looking garden outside, we did get to enjoy the quaint little cottage. Cooking utensils such as counter top burners, a toaster oven, and microwave were available as well as plenty of eat ware. The bathroom was a little small and compact, but very clean and reasonable with soaps provided. The bedding was clean and comfortable as well as the furniture being very fitting. The location seemed as though it was nice but we weren’t going to the local venues and had to deal with the “wonderful” DFW traffic, though it was not too terrible otherwise.we greatly enjoyed our stay and would be very glad to stay again should we be looking to visit the area :).

A Peaceful and Serene Stay

I booked the garden cottage for a weekend as I was in Dallas from New York for a work event. The garden is beautiful and was perfect for my morning meditations. I gained so much positive energy, peace, and clarity during my stay at the cottage. I was not able to meet Candice, but I had great conversations with Richard. I look forward to meeting Candice in the future. Whenever I need to travel back to Dallas for work, this is by far the first place I will look to stay. The Perfect Place

We came to Dallas for our granddaughter’s sporting event. Finding this little gem was the topping on the cake for a great trip. Candice and Richard were welcoming, generous and helpful with anything we needed. Being from the county we really enjoyed the little slice of country they have in the big city. The little cottage was warm and welcoming. It’s decorated beautifully and stocked with anything you might need. The Bishop Arts District is close by and provides shopping, great restaurants and a busy music and nightlife scene. We didn’t get to spend too much time in the area since we were busy with our granddaughter, but we hope to come back soon for a little weekend vacation. The best part is we won’t have to find somewhere to stay. We know the perfect place!

Serenity, tranquil, beautiful and the best hosts ever look no further!

I stayed at this peaceful, very clean, safe little gem for a couple of days. Candace & Richard (host) we’re incredible- kindest people and lovely little pups (especially meme). I have been receiving medical care in Dallas and this was my last stop. How I wish I would have found them and there gem in October. The little house is so peaceful she has a little library there and the bed unbelievable comfort and so clean! The outside is beautiful the host are first class and so is there little home. I will definitely be back when it’s a bit warmer to see the garden in bloom. I truly did not want to leave and get back in the real world. Private Little Gem

I was in town to visit family that I hadn’t seen since 1999 and so when I found this cute and convenient cottage. It was nicely furnished and had all the comfort’s of home that are a nice treat when traveling. I definitely enjoyed my stay here where it was nice and private compared to a hotel room. Candice was extremely gracious and always available for me whenever I had any questions. I would totally stay here again in the future whenever in the area.

Whimsical and peaceful!

Candice and her husband were terrific host! Very welcoming, humble and anything that we needed was met. We were celebrating our 37th Anniversary and also visiting our son in Dallas. Visited the Bishop Arts district and local restaurants in and Dallas. Coming back to La "Casita" afforded us a coming down of our adventurous day. The beautiful gardens about the cottage and little whimsical stations of art media, mixed with flowers and nature! I could go on. Best Place Ever!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Kaseeta! It was beautifully staged we had everything we needed. The grounds around the property were exquisite with beautiful flowers and thoughtful sculptures. There were secret gardens and just a relaxing atmosphere. The hosts were kind and truly made us feel at home. They are the true example of Texas Hospitality. Cottage with a Secret Garden

Our lovely stay at Candice's Cottage was an end-of-the-school-year gift to me and my man! Candice checked in on us daily via text which felt communicative while honoring our getaway. I enjoyed the whimsy of the front porch and exploring the flower garden. Inside, the wall art featured many of Dallas' iconic scenes. For being nestled in the busy city, this cozy property filled us with quiet peace. This cottage is situated close to the stunning Kessler Park area of Dallas. We were a 7-minute drive from our very favorite area, Bishop Arts. We love Bishop Arts for the fabulous restaurants, coffee shops, eclectic shops, street music, well...I could go on and on! We will be back! Thank you Candice!
