- NOTE: The public road that is used to access the property is approximately 3/4 mile long. It is highly recommended to arrive in a SUV/4x4 over a regular vehicle. However, a standard vehicle can traverse the road safely but due to minor uneven areas, a standard vehicle would need to proceed cautiously and at a slower pace
- NOTE: Areas where the public road had been somewhat washed out due to heavy rains, have recently been paved
- NOTE: The property sleeps 8 guests in 4 beds, but can accommodate up to 10 by using the 2 twin rollaway beds
- NOTE: Your safety matters. This property features 3 exterior security cameras. Camera 1 is located on the garage facing the driveway. Camera 2 is located on the deck facing the river access. Camera 3 is located on the back of the house facing the rear greenspace. The cameras are outward facing and do not look into interior spaces. The cameras record video and sound when activated by motion. This property features also 1 interior motion detector located above the dining room table facing the living room. The sensor only detects movement and does not record video or sound

Beautiful and quite place

This place with perfect for our family getaway. The house was clean and spacious. Views from the porch were incredible. The guys loved that they could fish by the house. We would stay again.

Weekend Getaway

Our family spent the weekend at this property in order to attend an event in Dahlonega. The home was lovely and had everything we needed for the weekend, including 2 coffee pots. :) The men in our family enjoyed the river location. The house is spacious and the beds were comfy.The host described the driveway correctly. We appreciated the heads up about driving a SUV.Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Not meant for kids. Not clean enough for price. Not the cleanest.

The first night we got there after driving for over 6 hours with kids we had to wash the bed sheets in the master, the bed was covered in sand, had hair under the comforter, and bobby pins in the blanket, and one of the pillow cases had a stain and the stain was in the exact same spot on the pillow which tells me it wasnt washed. The POC was very sweet and offered to send a cleaning crew but i declined because i had already washed the sheets and planned on cleaning everything else. Cob webs EVERYWHERE, dust on floor in corners. They wanted us to start the dishwasher before we left but there was no dish detergent so we baught that. Not enough trash bag so we had to buy them too. The cookware options, terrible. The oven smoked bad when we tried to use it. There are stairs and with it being "kid friendly" i assumed there'd be a baby gate for the stairs, there wasnt so we also bought that. The property itself is absolutely not safe for small children. We stayed inside the entire time after trying to explore a little but realized quickly that that was not a good idea with our two year old because he kept going to the edge which is a good drop into a river. The driveway was absolutely terrifying. And the first night there we got there after dark due to unforeseen circumstances on the way up, the sharp left turn we had to make almost brought us over a cliff because there is no sign. The driveway and road is obviously not the owners fault but something to think about before booking.

Family fun

This stay was wonderful and exactly what we wanted for our family time. The rooms were perfect. The road is exactly as described but not hard to navigate at all. We would love to come again in the summer to swim and play also.

Great house but…

This was a wonderful house with a very comfortable and lovely living room, dining room and kitchen but the drive in from the main highway was not for the faint hearted, even in a SUV! The beds were very comfortable but are not for shorter people or elderly as they are so high they are difficult to get in and out of. Again lovely home but definitely attention to that long road leading to it needs immediate attention. Also being asked not to use fireplace unless you had specific experience with that type of fireplace was a real disappointment especially with the really cold weather. We really dislike giving such a mixed review but in good conscience to both owner and future renter our party could do nothing else.

Great for Family Vacation

The house is beautiful and the location is incredibly private and remote but surprisingly close to a major highway! The house has beds, comfortable seating in living room, wonderful screened porch with a beautiful view of the river, and very nice kitchen. We enjoyed the fire pit which is only a few yards from the river’s edge. The nearby town of Dahlonega is extremely charming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Winery Weekend

We had a great stay and it looks even better than the pictures! Great communication before the trip and did not have any questions while we were there. Recommend planning to drive or arranging transportation because we could not get ubers. The roads are steep to get down to this house on the river but manageable. Such a great view from the deck and Walmart is very close by for everything you need! Master bed was very comfy! We were sad to leave. What a hidden gem! Recommended outings: Cavender Creek Winery, Amicalola falls, Wolf Mountain Winery, Dahlonega Resort for dinner, and especially Big Creek Distillery!

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay here! Wish we would’ve had more time to enjoy the house. But we did enjoy the fire pit with smores one night and it was so peaceful drinking coffee in the porch with the beautiful view of the river! It is a little ways off of main road, but we were well aware and all the info we were sent was accurate and helpful!

Lovely house on the river

This house was spacious and lots of upgrades. Our family with 4 teenagers had plenty of room. I would definitely stay here again. Road was not as bad as others made it out to be. it rained the whole weekend and we never had trouble getting in or out. Loved it

Great Family Getaway

The house is beautiful, well maintained and was perfect for a secluded family getaway for our family. Owner was very responsive when we had an issue getting in and helped us get my parents in as they were the first to arrive. The location and secluded feel was just what we were looking for with our trip. Follow the recommendations of SUV or truck to access the property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would consider rebooking for the future.

The house was very nice and spacious. But we didn’t like how far the house was from the main road. It was difficult navigating the road, especially at night. Also, the trash was piled up in the garage when we arrived.

Beautiful with Dangerous Access Road

The road to the property was hazardous. It was raining most of the weekend and although we knew it was a gravel road with a very tight turn from the highway, we were unprepared for the single lane with drop offs and no rails—it triggered PTSD symptoms in the 2 of us who have been in MVAs. Fortunately we did not have to travel out after dark or during the rain. We also had some confusion about the thermostat and our contact person was less than helpful. I got no response to my text for about 30 minutes. When I called, I got an answer but was asked to send a picture of the thermostat and didn’t hear back at all after that. We figured it out after about an hour without their help. The house and property were beautiful and spacious, but bring extra essentials, such as toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and cups if you have more than a few people.

Peaceful Oasis

We thoroughly enjoyed the coziness of this property! The kitchen was absolutely beautiful and great for gathering! We could not have found a better place. The only thing we were a bit surprised about was the narrow and dangerous road to the house but it was well worth it once we got to the house!

Not what I expected

Not what we expected. No firewood available as is shown in the picture, fireplace was difficult to use, too hot in the master bedroom when the heat was on so not very well distributed, coffee grounds left in the coffee pot by cleaners, a mass of garbage left in the garage and per the cleaner, it was from the prior tenants and just was not removed, porches were not clean, had lots of leaves and debris all around. I was disappointed considering this was a holiday trip for my family and cost me over $700/nite when all the fees were calculated. WE were also very unprepared for the dangerous left hand turn on to the access road from Hwy 52. We were somewhat delayed and it was raining so it was already dark when we arrived. Very Scary and no marker or indicator at the turn to show it and how tight the turn was. I almost drove over the decline. I won't book this expensive venue again.

Amazing

All girls trip to see Christmas lights in Dahlonega. Loved the house and location. Close to outlet malls. Highly recommend an SUV for the drive way. Very clean and spacious. Great view!!! Host was quick to respond to any questions we had. Overall we would love to come back!!!! Highly recommend!!!!

Hideaway in the mountains without giving up modern comforts!

This property is great if you want lots of comfortable space off the beaten path without giving up modern comforts. Heed the warning in the listing about the road leading to the property, but rest assured you'll be happy with the home and its amenities once you arrive.

Destination wedding

This house is absolutely beautiful and was perfect for the bride (daughter) and all her girls getting ready for the wedding. The scenery made for some beautiful pictures. Very peaceful! The road is a little tricky to get to the home, and I would not recommend driving down at night for the first time . Some of the vehicles struggled (smaller cars) I Definitely recommend 4x4. We had the guys pick us up in their trucks and transport us around (no complaints there!) would do it all over again. Communication and everything about our stay was top notch. Dahlonega is a beautiful town and We were just 15 minutes from our venue. Everything is close by once you get on the main road.

Wedding Trip

The cabin was remote and beautiful. The host was accommodating and always quick to reply. It was tricky to get to though. The road was difficult to navigate. I was happy to have 4 wheel drive.

Graduation Weekend

The house was beautiful and had lots of wonderful features. Everyone fought over the master shower, it is that amazing! From the gas stove, to the covered deck, to the fire pit, everything was great. We had a wonderful time and hope to rent this property again in the future.

Bad start but ended ok

Well we booked the perfect room .4 bedrooms ,a creek in the back yard ,paid in full then on the ck in day I happened to call right before I left and the host said it was unavailable because of a leak .I was glad I called .she was nice and help me book another house .only 2 bedrooms and no creek.
