  • Tuskegee University, one of the largest historically black universities in the United States, is a private university located in Tuskegee, Alabama. It was founded by Lewis Adams, a former slave, and George W. Campbell, a former slave owner. Adams asked that an educational institution for blacks be established. After Foster won the election, $2,000 (per year) was allocated from the state general budget for such a school to be located in Macon County. Nick was very helpful and gracious. However, the unit was lacking. No exterior lights worked on the front so we had to use the car to see to get in and out after dark. The front door is rotted and water logged. With a visible Crack and no weather stripping and it was in the 20s. The floors in the bedrooms were dirty along with the sliding door upstairs. I know it's not the high season, but the porch furniture was in disrepair.

Everything was as it should be, the lake was low, but we were still able to make the dock work. Beautiful Lake loved being able to look out or sit on the deck with my coffee. We did not get to take advantage of all the property has to offer as we were here for the Logan Parks Foundation Fishing tournament. They kept us busy.

Beautiful views. I think we mostly stayed out on the back deck and dock. Clean, comfortable beds. Convenient, full but small kitchen. Would definitely stay there again.

Location is what this place has going for it. So beautiful! The paddle boards provided were fabulous. We were disappointed with how the place was kept up. This place needs a DEEP CLEAN and outside needs to be raked/blown off. Leaves were thick! No hand soap in bathrooms. No laundry soap even though check out instructions said to start a load. Small bugs/ants in bathrooms and kitchen. Sliding doors in master were dirty and hard to see through. This place felt like sleeping in a fish camp not a “villa”. Neighbors were super friendly. Garbage cans outside hadn’t been emptied in quite some time. Instructions had us put garbage outside in cans. It was overflowing and nasty. Some of the outdoor furniture was a co-pay waiting to happen! So much potential, but needs attention!

Peaceful & Relaxing!

This townhouse was just what we needed for a few days to relax! It has the quintessential lake feel! The beds were comfy and the house was clean. The owner was quick with any questions we had. The rear porch was private even with neighbors on both sides. We spent most of our time just sitting out back! We will definitely be back!

We've rented better at Lake Martin

The property has a lot of good points; the wonderful deck, each bedroom has it's own bathroom, and closeness to the water.Now for the bad: the dryer did not work and no one came to look at it when we were told that someone would. Ants in the kitchen. The living room TV was on when we got there which I thought was odd. Turns out the batteries were dead in the remote and needed to be replaced. I couldn't find the on/ off switch and I guess the cleaner or the last renter couldn't find it either. No soap in 2 of the 3 bathrooms, no laundry detergent even though we were asked to start a load before we left. We had a good time, but when paying premium price I expect better.

It wasn’t clean inside properly. The linens were not clean. The towels were musty/ sour. The kitchen counter had sugar ants on counter at arrival. The deck outside had spider webs and had to be swept off.

Great Location

Property is in an ideal location on beautiful Lake Martin. Property Manager was always quick to respond to any questions. The outside deck and pier was fantastic. The inside is updated and well furnished. The only exception is the master bathtub needs to be replaced. The 2nd bathroom tub had some drainage issues. We also found a couple of large utensils that had been put away without being washed. All in all I would recommend this property and would stay here again.

Beautiful get-away place

Very comfortable, property was accurately described on website. We were extremely happy with this property, beds were very comfortable. Property manager was helpful to our questions, we will definitely come back. Only negative was leaves were all over deck & stairs leading down to lake which was dangerous, needed to be blown off.
