"High quality room, with farm privacy and atmosphere. We would recommend it and stay there again. Only one thing: The ladder to the loft bedroom is quite steep. My wife struggled a bit with it. But then, she is in her late 60's. Nevertheless, a good place that we will recommend. A/C worked well, and was needed. Room very clean. We hardly saw staff, which was fine, as we enjoyed our privacy."

"Our family loved our stay at Pa’s house! First time pulling into the Pa’s house property we knew it would be a great stay. The location worked perfect for our hiking adventures, most places were only a 20 min drive away. Several wineries were right down the road. You’re outside of town but can make a quick grocery run if needed. The work done inside and out of this old farm home was wonderfully done. "Nice place. We cooked meals inside on the stove but also over a fire at the fire pit. There is a small creek behind the cabin that runs when it rains out. That was pretty cool. No nearby light pollution so the sky is really dark at night and you can see a lot of stars. Overall a great experience. Two wineries close by. It's on the wine trail. Close to everything in Southern Illinois. We went to all the state parks."
