Good to know: you also have access to the hamlet’s pool (12x7), located 50 meters from the cottage, which is open in the summer, rarely crowded, and reserved for residents. Cuxac-Cabardès is ideally located for exploring the treasures of Cathar Country by car, bike, horseback, or on foot through the magnificent natural landscapes of the Montagne Noire. Visit the Castles of Lastours, which offer spectacular views of the valley. A little further away, explore the majestic City of Carcassonne, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. The impressive Mazamet footbridge is also a must-see. The Brousses Paper Mill offers a glimpse into traditional craftsmanship. Local shops (restaurant, bakery, grocery store) are located in the heart of the village, 2 km away. A tennis court is available for free use in the village, and for horseback riders or those interested in riding, the La Goutarende equestrian center is a 2-minute walk away.
