Cozy cabin on the prestigious Big Trout Lake on The Whitefish Chain!

Welcome to our 1964 built cozy cabin on the highly desirable Big Trout Lake with a superb sandy bottom shoreline located on the Whitefish Chain of lakes (14 of them!). Endless boating, fishing, and FUN opportunities on these lakes (many of our guests bring a boat or will rent one for their stay). There are several restaurants you can boat in and out of on the lakes, making it a wonderful destination for those that want that experience.

We have a large dock and sandy beach area for your enjoyment & relaxation! There is also a wonderful biking & walking trail that runs along the property and is about a 4 mile loop.

Inside there is one bedroom on the main floor with a queen bed. The open upper level loft has 3 full size beds. The basement has a bunk bed with full and twin size beds. One 3/4 bath on the main floor (shower) and a 1/2 bath (no tub or shower) in the lower level with laundry. Outside shower with hot water available. Updated in 2019: kitchen cabinets & countertops replaced, bathrooms, flooring, updated plumbing, electric and HVAC. 1,150 finished Sq Ft inside.

There is a Traeger Ironwood 885 smoker on the deck overlooking the lake along with a Blackstone grill for your enjoyment. 2 Fire pits are also on property; one up top next to the cabin and one below next to lake.

This is our special place we love to come back to! If you have any questions on rentals, golf, entertainment, restaurants, etc... we are happy to help!

Be sure to capture to incredibly sunset on the dock! Lifelong memories guaranteed :)

Family weekend getaway

We had a relaxing, memorable, and much needed weekend away up north. Love the Crosslake area and the location of this cabin. Very cozy and lots to do even before summer hits. The bonfire pits and private dock were a big plus. Communication with the host was very prompt and helpful. We hope to come rent again!

Relaxing getaway before school starts.

Great family trip to Big Trout Lake. We caught some monster bass and northern right off the dock, Whitney's communication was great, and the cabin setup was very cozy. We took her recommendation and rented a pontoon from Crosslake Pontoon Rentals (also highly recommended). We spent a couple of days cruising and tubing through the white fish chain of lakes.

Great weekend away!

My family of 5 (children ages 5, 7 and 9) along with our grandparents just returned from a wonderful stay at this property. The highlight for the kids was being able to play on the private beach area and fish right off the dock. We also rented a boat for the duration of our stay, which allowed us to explore the surrounding lakes, find secluded sandbars, go tubing, and even grab a bite to eat at one of the lakeside restaurants. The location was perfect for evening walks, and we like that we were close enough to walk down to Manhattan's to grab a drink. We had an incredibly relaxing vacation and can't wait to return again soon. This property is perfect for families looking to unwind and enjoy quality time together in a beautiful setting.

Really great cabin. Definitely has that Minnesota up North feel. The dock was also nice to fish off of. The town of Crosslake is nearby with a grocery store, dining, mini golf and a few shops. The only suggestion I would have for the owner is to provide a few more rugs for the front door area and the bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay here and great communication with the host!

Family Vacation

Property was very clean and Whitney was very responsive to the questions I had. Cabin did show signs of age and lack of 2nd full bath was inconvenient when you have 9 people staying at location. Overall great location and service that was provided!

Happy family

We had a group of 7 and all had a really good time. Communication with host beforehand was helpful, clean cabin, comfortable bedding, plenty of cooking stuff, and we loved the bonfire area. Spent a lot of time on the big dock and explored the lakes a bit while fishing. Fantastic area for a long weekend!

Great family getaway

Stayed at this cabin on Big Trout Lake with my family. We’ve rented up on this lake in the years prior and really enjoy it. Cabin was clean, comfortable for all 7 of us, ample cooking and grilling options and the lower beach & dock area topped it off. Kids had a blast swimming and hanging out on the dock. Tried a few of the near by restaurants/bars which was nice too. Overall, everyone had a very great experience, thanks!

Cozy cabin

My husband, myself and our adult sons stayed for a long weekend. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Also, there was an adequate supply of pots, pans and cooking supplies. The lake was beautiful, clean and swim area was free of lake weeds. The great big dock was nice to sit and relax. There are many steps to get from the cabin down the hill to the lake. A little difficult for a person with stiff knees. Our host was responsive and quickly answered any questions we had. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful Stay

We had a blast at this property. It was so cozy and clean and had the perfect set up. Perfect location within the city. We enjoyed the walking trails, the lake and the cute city. We would highly recommend. Great for families!

Peaceful Lakefront Oasis

My husband and I spent 3 nights and it was wonderful! The space was cozy and clean with plenty of amenities. The location is perfect, quiet and tranquil but also in close proximity to town for some shopping and restaurants. We loved the back deck and the dock on the water the most! Such a relaxing way to spend a few days away from the city. Host was easy to work with, great communication and even went as far as to suggest places to eat and shop.

Great Time Away

Cozy cabin on the lake. Enjoyed the fire pit area and the access to Traeger Smoker and Blackstone griddle. Be prepared to climb a few steps if you want to get to the lake. Dock area and beach were awesome. The property is close to town if you need anything. Some of the owners personal stuff is laying around the property (might have been left out by previous guests). All in all a great stay.

Wonderful Stay

This was my third year coming to this gorgeous cabin. It’s on a quiet lake! Meets all our needs, very clean. Bonfire pit was a hot spot for me and my friends! We will be booking for more dates in the future! Thank you to the wonderful host Whitney for great communication.

Perfection!!!

All I can is WOW!! The wife and kids rented this amazing place for a couple days to get away. The cabin was perfectly maintained and the two bathrooms came in clutch with all the kids we brought with. The lake view and ambience was ideal to wake up to. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a beautiful cabin on a lake. It truly displays Minnesota beauty. Cant wait to go back. Our host was quick to respond and answered all of our questions quickly. 5 stars all around!!

Loved our stay and will be back

You can tell this cabin is cared for with love - it has amazingly good energy. Our weekend was exactly what we were hoping for and more. The cabin offers all amenities and has a beautiful view of the lake. We spent a lot of time on the dock, relaxing, watching the loons, and later the famous Crosslake sunsets. The kids wanted to have bon fires and s’mores. The owner has ample firewood nicely stocked up. We went out to dinner one night and of course ice cream. Everyone in our group had an amazing time. Nothing like a weekend at a cozy cabin filled with love and laughters. Thank you Whitney for sharing your cabin with us. We will definitely book it again.
