"It was a nice hotel and close to everything. The only issue we had was that we paid $10 per day for parking and each night when we returned parking was very hard to find and very inconvenient to park at the back of the lot with between big trucks in small spaces."

The pros were the unique experience of staying in a nicely outfitted airstream trailer, the access to the river and the clubhouse and bathrooms were clean and welcoming. Cons were they could use a handyman to go through the trailer and fix some of the little things like broken door hinges, leaky faucet and slow drains, the futon was very uncomfortable for my teenage son, and the pool sticks in the clubhouse need to be replaced (most of the felts were...

"The room was very clean, well maintained and quiet. Breakfast was great and convenient for a guest wants to leave early. Parking was plenty. Staff was incredibly friendly."

"Older motel trying to look new. Bedding was updated and clean. Love no carpeting in room and hallways. But hole in bathroom door, splintered at top, nothing else updated. Hotel had a perfume smell like they were trying to hide something. Would not stay even for one night. Very basic breakfast, but coffee and juice was fine. Run down parking lot, beside a gas station. "Checked in the first room. Took a nap and woke up to the TV pulling off the wall and falling on top of the dresser. Moved to second room and the A/C unit was making a loud clicking noise. Won't be able to sleep. Moved to third room and when I took a shower the next morning the shampoo, conditioner and body wash were all empty. Not a good experience."

Chose The Tapestry for dinner and it was excellent with 1 server who managed all the tables and requests w/ ease. Tasted a couple local wines that also “held their own”. "Right in the heart of downtown Grand Junction within walking distance of plenty of bars and restaurants. Try Cruise Control a couple blocks from hotel for great beer, cocktails and food. Hotel Melrose has been beautifully restored— Lovely sitting area, backyard patio, and a great lounge. We will definitely stay again."

"The pictures look better than reality. The upkeep of property is very poor. The room was somewhat clean. I woke up in middle of night and there was a roach crawling on bed. When I went to checkout no one at front desk so I could not discuss with staff about the cleanliness and roach. I would not recommend."
