  • Welcome to Casa Serena, our beloved mountain cottage in Crestone, Colorado! Casa Serena was designed to inspire peace and serenity within your life, both during your stay and beyond. With the quietude of a retreat but with modern conveniences to ensure your comfort, our goal is to provide a space for you to relax, contemplate and discover.

    We are located just 1 mile from town in the Baca Grande subdivision, giving you the ease of quickly accessing groceries and dining with the tranquility of a more rural setting.

    Casa Serena comes with:
    Full kitchen
    3 bedrooms
    2 full bathrooms
    Gas fireplace
    Washer/dryer
    Dining space adjoined to kitchen
    Living room with large windows

    We'll make packing easy for you by including luxury provisions, such as nourishing shampoo and conditioner, soap, hair dryer, fluffy towels, down comforters, quality sheets, and extra blankets. Each bedroom has usb ports on the bedside touch lamps, and there's wifi for you to surf and stream on your personal devices. Have quality time together playing one of the included board games, or much-needed time to yourself with a provided book or yoga mat.

    Our fully equipped kitchen comes with all the tools you need to create your own meals, such as cooking utensils, pots/pans, gas range, toaster, microwave and dishwasher. Begin your day with a hot cup of coffee or tea, on us!

    Crestone awaits you with unique opportunities to explore. Only in the San Luis Valley can you hike a 14ner one day, climb up massive sand dunes the next, soak in hot springs to soothe your body, chase rainbows, be dazzled by the milky way, and visit spiritual centers from every major world religion, all in one stay!

    Crestone is an eclectic community that attracts a variety of lively personalities. The wild, beautiful land itself is a draw for many explorers who wish to hike to pristine lakes, climb technically challenging peaks or slide down sand dunes. The many Spiritual Centers that are established here bring mystics and seekers from around the World. Access to 3 hot springs within a 30 minute drive from Crestone means you can explore a new one each day. You can even see alligators at Colorado Gators or, if you're lucky, glimpse something more otherworldly from the Alien Watchtower, two of the Valley's more unique attractions.

Great views, great town, and accommodations were fantastic. If you’re staying in summer note there’s no AC—which the host is very clear about!

We came back for a girls trip and yet again had a wonderful time! We love the property, it’s a close walk to town and beautiful star gazing. Highly recommend!

We booked this property for a multi-milestone family celebration (42nd anniversary, 60th birthday, and retirement), and it was absolutely perfect! The home was beautiful, spotless, and in a great location full of wildlife. The host was incredibly communicative and made everything easy. Highly recommend.

Fall Family Getaway

This is a beautiful home! It’s well equipped, comfy, has plenty of seating, and is well decorated. It’s next to a fun town and close to the super-fun sand dunes!

Great place to stay. Very clean and all check in / check out instructions are clear. Only issues we had was the hot water heater tripped, but Isaline was onnsite within 20 minutes and had it resolved. Will stay here again, if we come through area.

Relaxing

The poperty was Clean, Comfortable and Quiet. The Decor made for a very Relaxing stay. Host was very helpful and nice to communicate with. We visit Crestone often and would definitely stay here again.

Very loved and cared for home with well equipped kitchen, high quality linens, comfortable beds and spa quality bath products. The location was great for hiking in the Crestone area and enjoying the town. Thanks!

Great stay. Especially nice to not have TV. Not much going on in Crestone... we actually had a hard time finding the town, but also didn't look overly hard b/c we were tired from the day. Great Sand Dunes NP is about an hour away. Beautiful area.

Peaceful property

This home was perfect for our stay. It was very clean, peaceful and had everything that we needed. The master bedroom is upstairs, which was somewhat difficult for my parents to get too, but it was doable. Beautiful, quiet area! Thank you for letting us use your beautiful home.

This cottage was very tastefully decorated and nice and clean. We had timely communication with the host. The view was great and my family enjoyed a few walks in the area. Due to temperatures being above average for the area, it was a little warm. While there is an air conditioning unit in the upstairs bedroom; the downstairs is cooled by fans and opening the windows. I enjoyed the fact that there was no TV, but my kids would not agree. (They survived 6 days without a TV!) It was about 54 miles to Great Sand Dunes National Park, taking about 1 hour. We had an issue with the water heater, which was resolved with communication with the host.

Lovely Cottage. Nice and Quiet

We enjoyed the cottage and surrounding area. It was so peaceful for a much needed downtime. Wonderful amenities. We were greeted by several deer upon our arrival and heard the coyotes every night. Watching hawks soar and saw several elk.
