There is no central air conditioning, just a heat pump on the first floor but opening the windows to the ocean air as Todd suggested was more than sufficient to cool the rooms down in the night. "Our cottage was clean, cozy and well furnished with stunning views of the Canso Straight and causeway. We used the location to both start our tour of Cape Breton and cap it off 5 nights later. We would definitely go back!"

"Had such a terrific time decide to stay an extra night. All staff were wonderful and the proximity to the beach was amazing for swimming and watching the sunset. Would definitely return!"

"The house is, technically, as described but there are a few design issues that made it hard to use. The ladder, which is needed to access the loft, blocks the bathroom door. So if you have it in place for climbing, it has to be moved to open the loo door, then moved back to climb back up again. We have stayed in tiny houses before and found them easier to maneuver around. Which would be fine but at this price it should be somewhat more comfy. Caveat Emptor"

"Very clean and well kept home. The owner stopped by to make sure our stay was going OK and to see if we needed anything. Enjoyed spending time in Port Hawkesbury and sitting by the water at the nearby rocky shore. Owner has good directions on how to get to get to other nearby sandy beaches."
