  • The Oast: sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms, 2 reception rooms, kitchen, dining room, 1 bathroom and 1 en-suite. Parking and terrace.

    Kitchen with dining table seating 10 guests, large range stove, fridge, freezer, microwave oven, kettle, washing machine, dishwasher.

    Sitting room with inglenook fireplace and seating, TV, door leading to terrace.

    Roundel drawing room with sofas, TV, DVD player, Hi-Fi. Adjoining sitting room has a log burning stove (logs are provided).

    Cloakroom with WC and wash basin.

    Twin bedroom - sleeps 2 (if not required a discount applies), 2 single beds, chest of drawers, coat hangers, TV.



    First Floor

    Roundel Master bedroom (sleeps 2) king size French antique bed, TV, chest of drawers, large fitted wardrobe, dressing table.En suite bathroom with bath and shower.

    Double bedroom (sleeps 2), double bed, TV, wardrobe and chest of drawers.

    Twin bedroom (sleeps 2) which can be configured to a double bed (on request), TV, wardrobe with drawers under.

    The property has an electric car charging point. Please note there is a charge of £10 a day for usage, payable directly to the owner if used during your stay.

    Under occupancy discount for smaller groups applies (please note only 3 bedrooms will be available for this size group)

Alan does an amazing job of orienting you to the property and the history of the community. The property had alot of character and rustic charm and a nice big yard with a shepherd's hut and games to play. Pub next door was delicious and property nicely located to see gardens.

Fantastic few days, the family had a very relaxing time all together. Alan was very welcoming and informative about the history of the oast. Great place to go, highly recommend a stay.

Fantastic stay

We had a great stay at the Oast for a family birthday celebration, along with our dogs. The host Alan was very welcoming and showed us where everything was. The Oast is a fantastic building that has been beautifully restored. We went on the Sunset cruise from Limehouse wharf which was excellent and can recommend, and ate at the White Hart next to the Oast which was also great. Nibbles railway cafe is opposite but requires booking a few months in advance. Great walks around Newenden and following the river. Would recommend the Oast to groups who enjoy the countryside

Lovely girls weekend

Had a great stay, group of girls and dogs. Alan was a great host and we found the property to be well equipped. We did struggle with the super soft beds ending in back ache but apart from that everything was perfect.

POSITIVE!!

A lovely house, beautifully looked after and very well appointed. The loaction is excellent with the steam railway very close at hand and Bodiam Castle, Sissinghurst and Rye shortsih drives. Alan was a suppotive and considerate host, for whom nothing was too much trouble.

We had a lovely family weekend at The Oast. The owner was extremely accommodating of our elderly mum's needs, and everything was as we expected it to be. It's a beautiful property, in a fantastic location near the pub, a cafe and a riverside tearoom. Highly recommended.

Fantastic venue

I hired The Oast for my 60th birthday celebrations. The venue is fantastic for hosting a party. I managed to hire a jacuzzi, which made the week even more special. Alan the owner is a very good host and will do what he can to make your stay a enjoyable as possible.

Lovely house with rural outlook but yet convenient to main road and local amenities. Pub next door and cafe by the boating centre both provide excellent places to eat. Paddle boardingon the river proved a winner

Eight people in the Oast for a weeks stay

There were 4x couples staying in the Oast comprising me and my 3 cousins & partners. The Oast provided good accommodation for 8 people, has a good kitchen and is well stocked with plates, glasses etc for so many people+. Newenden is well located for exploring Kent and the many attractions around the area.

A lovely stay in a Kent Oast House

Our family gathered to celebrate a big birthday at The Oast for a few days. The whole process, from booking with Bloom Stays to arriving and meeting the very friendly and helpful owner was smooth and seamless. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the house has everything you need. Four bedrooms, accommodating 8 people were comfortable and equipped with everything you need. One en suite and two other bathrooms were adequate. In March we couldn't enjoy the outdoor facilities but have no doubt in good weather it would be a very pleasant place to eat and sit outside with a view over the fields and super sunsets, Lots to do and see nearby and an excellent pub next door (literally!) and other eats places in Tenterden and Rye.

We had an amazing stay and Christmas we had within this lovely Oast house. The host Alan was so accommodating from arriving to departure - Alan you’re the best! There is an amazing pub right next door called the White Hart, we ate there and the food was first class - the landlord was very friendly too. There is a Morrisons and Tesco within ten minutes up the road and wonderful country walks. Christmas itself was like being in the movie ‘The Holiday’ - we will definitely return and to also meet up with Alan again.Many thanks Alan Mark, Sharon and family

Beautiful building in great location

We really enjoyed our stay with our family group in the Oast. It is a very special place to stay, with lovely circular rooms in the oast and some of the original machinery still in place in the staircase. There is plenty of space for eight. Some nice touches e.g. coffee machine, board games, towels for the dog (if you are bringing one), cosy wood burner in the lounge. The location is beautiful and well placed for visiting west Kent. The owner, Alan, was super-helpful, especially on our arrival.

The Oast is breathtaking

Gorgeous stay at The Oast. There were eight of us (including a 7 and 3 year old) Beautiful home. Kitchen fairly well equipped - it’s an Induction hob so if you bring your own pans they will need to be induction ones. Alan the owner is such a lovely sweet man who was very helpful. We had full privacy of the beautiful house and gorgeous grounds and it was a wonderful family break.
