"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Extremely clean, perfect location, Loved the fire pit! We ate at the new place 3miles down the road called Hanging Rock Tavern, highly suggest them! And hiked McAfee Knob, which every single step was worth the view at the top. Would absolutely stay again"

"We chose this rental because we could bring our dogs but we will be back because the place was terrific! The owners thought of everything, leaving us local coffee beans, dog treats, and ear plugs! The house is on a busy road but the back yard is fenced in and was perfect for our two fur babies. Cozy house that is close to great hiking trails. "

"Stopped here for a night before backpacking the VA Triple crown. It was exactly what we needed for a great price. Very beautiful spot in a quiet area. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. "

"We did a long weekend getaway to celebrate our son’s high school graduation and could not be more pleased with Sonny’s cabin. The kitchen is fully stocked and super clean. The beds are memory foam and comfortable. The cabin is full of sweet, personalized touches. We did kayaking (Graig Creek has class 2 and 3 rapids) hiked McAfee Knob, had fire pit nights and the kids caped out by the creek.Thank you Sonny! We will certainly be back! "

"The manager, Jessica, was so very kind and easy to work with. I was there fir my grandson's graduation from Virginia Tech and my stay at the corporate suites gave us the comforts of home and close to the venue."

"We had a wonderful stay at Washington Street Quarters! It was well-appointed, but we especially loved the "small town" character! We were passing through, but this made our stay so much more interesting than a standard hotel room!"

"It's a nice townhouse on the lake, can't really complain much about that. A few things to note. The downstairs bedroom is really cold (winter season of course) so you must be willing to keep a fire going if you want to stay down there. Also, the two queen beds felt more like full size beds to my wife and I. Smith Mountain Lake is a beautiful area, but be warned to get in out of of the area to other locations you will need to travel 15 minutes on very winding roads. And finally, there was a lack...

"The home served our purpose; clean and accessible to VA Tech. The house needs some work; however, it was very clean and was comfortable for a quick over night trip. Parking was fair and the home is in a depressed area of town. Loved the small touches (peppermint patties!). "

"This was a family trip to visit family nearby. We stayed 2 nights, it was so relaxing. Sitting on the porch enjoying the river was our favorite part. The home was very clean and the hosts made everything so simple for check in and check out. I would stay here again when going to the area. Very easily slept 5, back yard was fully fenced for the kids, on a quiet country road. "

"The property was completely adequate for our needs. Despite its small size, there was plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. There were some small repairs that could have been made and some spiderwebs to be cleared. Also the trains running a few hundred feet away were a bit loud. Overall though, we enjoyed our stay and the scenery was lovely."
