The Old Cottage at Cowes

  • Located in the heart of Cowes, the main hub on Phillip Island, this quaint cottage is in a perfect location, a 100-metre walk to Cowes Main Beach (walk down Eva Lane), a short walk to supermarkets, shops, cafes & restaurants. Everything is at your fingertips.

    The Old Cottage features 3 bedrooms (2 Double beds and 2 single beds), open plan living, dining and kitchen, family bathroom with toilet, laundry, BBQ in the back area, extra toilet in the back area and a cute verandah looking over the garden. A relaxing area to spend the day away. The kitchen is fully fitted out; all you need to bring is your food and drinks.

    Fully fenced with off street parking and pets are welcome.

    PLEASE NOTE:

    LINEN: Sheets, pillowcase and bath towels are not provided. You can bring your own or hire linen from the holiday manager. There are doonas with covers, pillows, extra blankets, bathmat, hand towel and tea towels.

    BOND: There is a $400 bond and this is held against your credit card. There is no payment required.

    STRICTLY NO SCHOOLIES OR GROUPS UNDER 25 YEARS OF AGE. (With the exception of children accompanied by parents)

    PLEASE NOTE: There is a strict NO PARTY policy. The house is located in a residential area and noise and public disturbances will not be tolerated. Guests will be asked to leave the premises without notice should noise or nuisance complaints be received or if the number of guests exceeds the number confirmed at time of booking.

    There are many activities available on Phillip Island and only 1.5 to 2-hour drive from Melbourne CBD. A perfect location and a quaint cottage for you to enjoy your break away.
    PLEASE NOTE:
    - There is 7.5% State government short term levy collected at time of booking. This is added to the total accommodation including the cleaning fee.
    - No smoking policy
    - PETS: Pets welcome
    - LINEN: Please note sheets and bath towels are not provided. There are doonas with covers, pillows with pillow protectors, plenty of spare rugs, bath mats, hand towels and tea towels. You can either bring your own or hire them from Dianne, the Holiday Rental Manager. The only time linen is provided is at the Moto GP championship weekend.

Cute cottage right on the beach

Had a comfy and restful stay in a quiet street near the beach. The dogs were very happy with the small fenced yard. I particularly liked the hard floors and walk in shower.

We had a great break from Sunday to Wednesday, everything is within walking distance with a gorgeous beach 5 minutes walk. We would recommend this accomodation

Relaxing long weekend

This little cottage was perfect for the 2 of us. It felt like a welcoming family home. Great location within an easy walk to cafes, restaurants & beach, & easy drives to so many other beautiful spots on Phillip Island. .

Vintage and cute

Welcoming little cottage, with good facilities. Spacious for the 3 of us, we got it cosy in mid winter, in the living room with the reverse cycle wall heater. Easy walk beach and Cowes. Lots to see around island for walkers.

Such character in this old cottage, beautiful high ceilings & floors! New bathroom, comfortable beds, stocked kitchen & loved sitting on veranda having a drink! Great to keep our dog locked in the yard to play.

Great location, secure for our dog and very comfortable. Really easy to check in and so close to the beach and local wallaby. The art on the wall in front bedroom was a surprise - I liked reading about the history of it but didn't love the feeling of the room, just personal preference. One of the single beds in the other front room is super squeaky so no-one slept on that one but everything else fantastic. Thanks for a great stay.

Great location

The old cottage is a great location for your stay on Phillip Island. It is really neat and tidy has great kitchen with all the things you need. I loved being able to access the beach from a nearby lane to walk the dog. The GOP bedroom and history of the house was a surprise. The kids found it a bit spooky and opted to share the other bedroom.

Short get away

Overall we were happy with our stay. The yard was good, but wasn't very secure for our dogs, the gap under the gate was too big, so they couldn't be left alone. We couldn't all go out together as a family without out taking the dogs, so that limited some family time.
