"We had a fantastic weekend in the Hemlock house! the house was cute and quaint and had everything we needed and so much more!! "

"we all went up to Republic to do a lot of sledding. Cabin did not disappoint. Sauna was wonderful after a day of sledding. Perfect spot to go out snowmobling in any direction. Would stay here again"

"We stayed for 5 days/4 nights. It is a comfy older home, nicely decorated with lots of room. The host thought of pretty much anything you could need while on vacation and quickly responded to all communication. The furniture and beds were comfortable and our dog loved the porch and yard. We were there for a music festival and hope to come back again next year! "

"Beautiful mansion and quiet area. Bedroom was spacious and glad we had our own bathroom. There was no WiFi. I had to call the Host to get arrival instructions. When we arrived the instructions were written on paper taped to the door. No problems with coming and going. Everything was good for the two days we stayed. "

"The property is great, the hosts were very easy to get a hold of. They accommodate to needs very quickly, for example they fogged to help get rid of mosquitos to make sitting by the fire/lake more enjoyable. The lake water is clear & warm"

"This summer was our second year staying at this location. The unit is very clean and well organized. The location is perfect as the gateway to the Keweenaw Peninsula - everything to explore is accessible as a day trip. Renee and Basil are also great hosts as they were readily available to answer any questions or concerns we had during our stay."

"Our family decided to take a vacation together for our family gift. It was all our kids, their significant others and grandchildren. We had a fantastic time at this beautiful home. Every detail of the property waz spot on.You will not be disappointed. "

"Wonderful, quiet, peaceful lake. Home was quite clean but does have a very musty odor if you have allergies. King bed in the basement is 2 twin beds pushed together with a mattress pad on top which was comfortable enough but the middle does tend to sink in if you roll into the middle. Was quite hot upstairs without any a/c but the basement stayed nice and cool. Overall a very nice getaway if you are looking for off the beaten bath and beautiful UP nature/scenery."
