Rustic Retreat on the River

Retreat to this rustic one room cabin. Fish the Whiteface River, hike, kayak, bird watch or just relax on this secluded land.

Cabin has power. Bring your own water. An outhouse is on site. We provide a 5 gallon dispenser of water during your stay in the summer months only. Oct - April there is no water on site, bring your own water.

We are approximately 5 miles from the welcome center of the Sax-Zim Bog. Perfect get away for bird watchers.

There are many ATV and Snowmobile trails nearby. We have two fire pits available for roasting marshmallows or relaxing by the fire. We have a grill to grill outdoors.

Relax at our Rustic Retreat!! Enjoy all our property has to offer. We have trails on 25 acres where you can hike along the river and around the property without having to worry about seeing any neighbors. There is state land nearby. The beautiful northern land offers access to hunting, snowmobiling, four wheeling and much much more!

Only about 45 minutes to Duluth, MN and 40 to Cloquet, MN and 40 minutes to the Iron Range, MN.

If you need anything we are just a message away! We are excited to host you.

Check out the restaurant, The Wilbert Cafe located in Cotton, MN, just 10 minutes from the cabin. The El Toro is next door if you want to grab a burger and a drink. Simek farm is just down the road, only one mile away. They have live music in the fall, hay rides and lots of activities during the fall months. The colors are breathtaking in the fall with the leaves.

Must follow all house rules including but not limited to no smoking, no parties.

Pet Fee: A $75 Pet fee will be charge with each stay for those who bring pets. We allow one dog per stay.

Extra Guest Fee: $100 per person per night over the capacity.

Please note we do not have running water at this property, we do have an outhouse bathroom.

My fiancé and I spent a wonderful weekend here in total relaxation and peace. I couldn’t remember the last time we’d been somewhere that doesn’t have the constant subtle hum of a fridge or electricity. This cabin has everything you truly need and the hosts are so thoughtful. We felt safe, happy and proud of ourselves for the tech break! Beautiful river front and trails right in front of you. Wonderful!

Absolutely loved our short stay at the cozy cabin! It was perfect for our anniversary getaway to relax and unwind. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed the walking trails along the river and the large lawn while we sat by the fire. Recommending to everyone and can’t wait to come back!
