"Already the premises give out a reassuring feeling of care and comfort. This is then corroborated by the quiet and clean rooms, warm and cosy, along with a spacious breakfast area which presents a good variety of food, replicated for the dining area. "This was booked last minute and we arrived shortly after booking. Our room was a bit tired and we suspected not a room that was used often as in need of a refresh. The staff on the desk were friendly and the bed was comfortable. "

"The male (of a certain race) that checked us in looked right past me and greeted my husband when I walked thru the door first and would only deal with him. Even after my husband said I drove and I would fill in the vehicle info, he still asked him to enter the info and would only give him the keys. I felt like I wasn't there! The Plough is way out-dated, the beds are awful but you can they are trying to update some things. New carpets and chairs. I would not recommend this hotel, but maybe in...

"Good price but reflected in the extremely poor state of the rooms and particularly the bathroom. Cracked walls, lights that didn’t work, and an incredibly creaky floor. I really felt for anyone underneath us. Useful location but wouldn’t stay again."

"A bit tricky to find from the car park, but usually someone around to point you in the right direction. Hotel itseelf was fresh and clean and staff where friendly and helpful"
