We traveled to Cortez to visit our daughter/sister who's family of six lives there. Their home is not large enough for more of a crowd. The VRBO was just right to have them join us during the day and enjoy family time in the evening. Other than 18 holes of golf and 1 fishing trip we all had a great time being with each other. Plenty of room for us all to play board, card and electronic games and enjoy the meals. Bedroom and bathrooms were comfortable and private. the living area was large enough for us all with comfortable furnishings. A very clean and welcoming home. Everything we needed from well stocked kitchen and bathrooms to comfortable furnishings throughout. Very private and out of the way (just by minutes) from hustle and bustle of downtown. Very enjoyable, Thank you.

We enjoyed staying at this house. It was a close drive to Mesa Verde, Canyons of the Ancients and other hikes. We loved having the fenced in backyard for the dog as well. The owners have everything labeled well in the house and take care to be eco-friendly.

Property was clean and well furnished. Back porch was more cluttered than picture. Nice bedding but other than master bedrooms were small. Kitchen well stocked. Pellet fireplace not working which was disappointing as we were there when it was cold. Dog loved the yard.

Well, we were very impressed with the location because we were able to go to Telluride, visit Moab, Utah, visit Mancos, also we were able to explore the scenery and also go to Durango Colorado. It was a short ride.The best thing about the property was that we enjoyed the location. It was very clean and the TVs were easy to work and figure out everything.We would definitely stay there again just because it was a close location to friends as well while visiting. Also, it was easy to get to the grocery store which was about 3 to 5 minutes up the road along with the stores there that were feed stores, but they accommodated for any kind of cold weather equipment for clothing like it got really cold when we were there and everything was easily accessible

As a family, we spend almost every Thanksgiving together in Cortez. The majority of our family lives in Cortez, but my husband and I and our son and daughter-n-law travel from other places, and hence why we rent a home to stay in during that time. This year was our first time renting this location and we found it to be very comfortable, close in proximity to Cortez amenities, and good for our dogs. Thank you.

The home was decorated nicely & comfortable for 2 couples, with easy access to downtown. Photos on website are not current, but overall very adequate space. You may even learn something about recycling if you pay attention.

I really loved staying there! It’s a beautiful little house, in a quiet residential neighborhood very close to downtown Cortez, and very close to Mesa Verde. The house is eco friendly, with a lot of energy and water saving features (heat pump/evaporative cooler, low flow toilet with 2 flushing options). They also have a mini washer and dryer. The neighbors are friendly. It was lovely, and I would love to be able to stay there again. Thank you!

Lovely place to stay for a week to explore the area. There are manny special touches that make the home a true delight including gifts from Linda’s business. How lovely is that? Dan and Linda were super responsive when we had an issue with a non- functioning appliance and got the whole issue resolved within the hour. A true 5 star experience

My husband, our 3 adult children and our pets all reunited in this cozy home for Christmas. It was exactly as stated in the listing. It felt like home and I honestly didn’t want to leave. We slept comfortably and it was a great place to have pets. Everything was clean and there was so much information on Cortez and Durango and even notes about different things throughout the house. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone.

The layout of the house was wonderful. The furniture was comfortable and the decor was beautiful. However, the house was dirty when we arrived and was overrun with ants and mice. The queen size beds were more like full size beds. The yard is big but it’s totally overgrown. Our toy poodle couldn’t play in it at all. People expecting to have a fenced in yard for their children to play will be greatly disappointed. I saw live mice on 2 occasions. We couldn’t use the kitchen because of the ants and the mice droppings everywhere. We had to eat all of our meals out. We had not planned on this extra expense. The property owner sent someone to drop off mice traps and ant traps. The hot water heater is set on a timer and my son took a freezing cold shower on our last full day there. Several times my husband ran out of hot water before he was finished with his shower. The property owner asked for my address because he said he was going to give me a partial refund. We just checked out this morning so I don’t know if he’s actually going to do that or not. He’s in Missouri now and plans on being in Colorado on August 7th. Once he takes care of the ants and the mice and cleans the house really well, it should be fine. Especially once he removes the timer from the hot water tank and cleans up the back yard.

The interior of the home is in decent condition. We we're not pleased with the outside porch, missing a door and several window panels had torn screens. We were able to sit out on the porch and enjoy the evenings, but later in the summer the bugs would probably prevent use of the porch. The backyard was completely overgrown. The property manager was charming and we enjoyed our conversation with her. I would stay here again, but if planning to use the backyard, you definitely need to verify it has been cleaned up.
