The access to the beach was perfect and the property outside was nice. However, the room had an odor that smelled like urine. The smell was not a damp beach mildew smell as we have stayed in several beach places. The closet in the master bathroom would not open and shut properly due to one of the doors not fixed on the hung very well. The closet door on the extra room would not close. The inside chair cushions had sand on them and we had to take them outside to wipe them off. The entire place needed cleaned top to bottom. Lastly, we had to hook each TV (master and living room) up to the cable/Roku for them to “kind of work”. We needed better controllers that worked for each of the TV’s. Overall, this would have been a super nice place to stay due to the access to the beach and pool. The smell was a huge turnoff!

Lovely Art and a Short Walk to the Beach

We had a great trip to Port Aransas. Highlights were the condo had excellent air conditioning, tile floors were easy to clean and we really enjoyed the collection of art the owners have curated. The unit has easy access to the beach, a nice pool. and community feel at the courtyard. Unfortunately the property and parking lot felt a little run down with broken outside doors and the same debris laid around the parking lot for our whole stay. The unit itself had a nice kitchen that was easy to cook in. Owners could benefit from an inventory to replenish some basic items, like a skillet and containers with lids for food storage, etc. The bathrooms seem to have gotten an update on the sink areas but really need an update to the tub/shower. They both felt dingy with stained non-slip stickers, mildew stains on the grout, and no stoppers in the drain. The condo has a cozy look but the living room furniture really needs an update. The left side of the couch sinks down, even with a child sitting there. The other seating is all wicker chairs and our whole group found ourselves moving from seat to seat to try and get comfortable every day. We really did enjoy our stay and the place was adequate for our needs but a few improvements would really make a big difference. If you head to Port A, be sure visit the Roberts Point Park Pier for an evening stroll. We saw tons of dolphins and birds, and a beautiful sunset. It was a family favorite!
