I had a wonderful week at Sangat Island Dive Resort. Really I cannot overstate how special the place is. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the room is clean and comfortable (no problem without air conditioning, there is a lovely breeze), the food is delicious, the location is beautiful and so peaceful, and the dive shop is fantastic It was beyond my expectations, just perfect. I did my PADI advanced certification (big thanks to Tom!). The wrecks are very cool, spectacular coral and a variety of fish. I also enjoyed the Coron Island Adventure with Clyde - such a fun, well-planned day to more spectacular places. I should also note that I was completely comfortable traveling alone there. Sangat proves that we can have a lovely vacation and still respect the environment. We can minimize our impact. I’ve heard other “eco resorts” aren’t really protecting the local environment. Sangat is genuine.

Pulling up to the island on the boat felt like a dream. It was GORGEOUS. We were welcomed and shown to our hut. I felt so lucky we stayed here and really wished we had another week. It wasnt too hot so it didnt matter we didnt have AC in our beach hut. We did have a problem with 5 monkeys getting in while one of us was napping but that was her fault for not locking the screen. We had a beach massage our last night which was relaxing and great. The final day I did a half day excursion with another couple we met on the boat on the way in. I have never snorkeled in as beautiful spot as I did that day. The coral garden was beyond words. I could have spend all day swimming and watching all the underwater life. The hot springs as sunset was the cherry on top. The resort was worth every penny and more. Id love to plan a time to come back and stay much longer.

super nice resort for people who like quiet time with room on the beach , friendly and professional staff with yummy food. Diving sites are wonderful and instructors take an excellent care of the customers.

We had a great stay at this dive resort. We stayed in the Hillside Chalet with AC. The room was very nice and had hot water in the shower. We had monkeys visit our balcony every day. My wife follows a strict gluten free diet and the kitchen made certain dishes separately for her. The dive shop is well run. The wreck diving is spectacular. The dive sites are 10-20 minutes by boat and the surface intervals are at the resort. It was great to have a hot shower and rest in the room during the surface interval. There are activities for non-divers (kayaks, snorkeling, hot spring). I highly recommend this resort and will be coming back.

We don’t want to repeat all the well-deserved five-star reviews — instead, here are a few highlights and practical notes that may be helpful for those visiting the island after us. Transfers: The transfer from the airport and fto Coron townthe city are very well organized. Everything is handled smoothly and quickly by the team, so you don’t need to worry about logistics at all. Food: Simply outstanding. The food is delicious, fresh, and varied, with options for different tastes. Every meal felt thoughtfully prepared and was something to look forward to after diving. Diving: The dive schedule is well structured: usually three dives per day, starting at around 8:00, 11:00, and 13:00. Night dives are available as well, although unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to join them. Staff: Truly exceptional. Friendly, professional, attentive, and always ready to help. You immediately feel welcome and well taken care of. Views & atmosphere: The views are absolutely stunning. The island feels peaceful, remote, and special — a place where you can really disconnect and focus on the experience. We sincerely hope to return here again someday. This is one of those places that stays with you long after you leave.

Nous avions une chambre sur la plage avec clim et eau chaude ce qui augmente notablement le prix mais pour nous c'était nécessaire. La chambre comporte deux lits doubles (pour qu'elle raison?) Un des lits est dans une sorte d'alcôve,pas de place pour autre chose que le lit.C'esr dans cette partie de la chambre qu'il y a la clim. Juste deux serviettes dans la salle de bains. Coté restaurant pas de soucis.Je ne mange pas épicé et on me préparait chaque fois la version non épicée des plats qui pouvaient l'être. Le personnel est toujours très souriant,très aimable et très serviable. Les kayaks sont en très bon état (ce n' est pas le cas partout) Nous avons fait deux sorties snorkeling en bateau,elles sont plutôt chères. Le site est très beau et le snorkeling devant l'hôtel intéressant et on peut en rejoindre d'autres en kayak. Un séjour satisfaisant ,un petit bémol pour la chambre et le coût des sorties snorkeling.

The wreck dives are great but my family didn’t like it as much. The diving team Tom, Iko and Shay are all great. They are very knowledgeable and personable. Service at the resort is impeccable. MJ, Naomi, Steph are great. They always accommodate our dietary restrictions at breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. The bar tenders are also great. It is a full bar but don’t expect to get high quality spirits. We had a villa on the beach with Air Conditioning. The A/C helps if you are in bed just below it but it is still very humid and hot in the rest of the room. The food is OK. Wifi is unreliable. You can get wifi only in the common areas (dining room, reception, dive centre) so the first beach villa near the dining room had some wifi.

The place itself is wonderful. It is very clean and has a very nice ambiance. Everything is in perfect order. From the top beginning with the owner, the managers Eralynn, Daniel, Kathryn and Dillionst the reception, the whole scuba diving team were incredibly friendly, competent and helpful. Couldn’t think of a better place to dive, snorkel and relax. Thanks to everyone (dec.2025) !

It was a unique and wonderful experience. Not the normal avg resort. The staff are exceptionally kind, helpful and genuinely want your experience to be fantastic. I loved falling asleep to the ocean, the variety of food offered and just the relaxed vibe. The resort is the only place on the island. My cabin did not have AC but I was very comfortable with the breezes and fans. Any modern convienance missing was made up with happy hour, beautiful views, and friendly staff. I also recommend the tours if offered. Great experiences snorkling and visiting the natural hot spring.

Bonne expérience en général, île paradisiaque mais dangereuse dans le sens où il y’a beaucoup de singes autour de l’hôtel , au début assez flippant mais on s’y habitue si on aime le côté sauvage jungle. On a fait la rencontre d’une chienne ( un berger allemand) nommé Amber, qui a pour but de chasser les singes. Très adorable chienne on s’y et vite attacher. La cuisine est très bonne ,

Wow where do I start. The staff here honestly takes pride in service. It is a small property so Jennifer and staff will probably remember your names. The chef is great and creative. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided in your rate. Good balance of traditional Filipino food and healthy options. Food was top tier honestly. The resort itself is beautiful and quiet. Great snorkeling at the property as well. Not a place for someone looking to party but if you want beautiful views, relaxation and water activities this is the place. Again, great service.

Exceptional service, great food and lovely cocktails. the dive shop was very professional. really unique beach rooms, but will mention only one of the two beds in the beach huts has air conditioning. that said, with the wonderful breeze, heat wasn't an issue. the transportation to and from the airport was great. a really special place.

The culinary experience was a delightful surprise, featuring hearty, home-style filipino cooking that perfectly matched the atmosphere. Each meal was generously portioned and flavorfully prepared, highlighting local ingredients. The private villas are thoughtfully equipped with essential amenities, allowing guests to fully embrace the natural surroundings. A special mention goes to Amber, the hotel's charming resident dog, who adds personality to the property while keeping the local monkeys at a distance! While the lack of air conditioning and limited WiFi coverage (restricted to the lobby and restaurant areas) might initially seem like drawbacks, we found they actually enhanced our stay. The digital detox we needed. All in all, I would definetly recommend this hotel for those looking into enjoying the best of Coron. Would come back in a heartbeat!

Amazing resort. The dive island was everything we could have hoped for with beautiful scenery, exceptional food and some of the coolest dive sights I’ve ever seen. The staff was incredibly friendly and really can’t reiterate the food quality (found myself eagerly awaiting each meal to see what delicious items they cooked up next!). The bungalows were clean and comfortable and just have a fun ambiance being able to hear the sounds of the ocean and what have you. The dive sights were breathtaking and abundant, offering a new unforgettable experience day in and day out. For the price point, you can’t beat it. Would certainly recommend!
